The Crown at Arford

The Crown is a fantastic village pub which has a roaring fire going during winter months and a lovely garden area across the road which is well kept and features a babbling brook at the bottom.The food is always fantastic, a cut above the usual gastro pub type offering and you can tell it’s cooked with passion and always fresh.Dog friendly, human friendly, well worth your time for a visit.Parking: Parking across the road by the garden.

Went for a themed night, food was good if a bit pricey. Very quiet, no fault of the publican but no one else eating at the time due to 4 table no shows....that is not fair on the business. Apparently it's a lot busier at the weekends

Two of us went for Sunday lunch on the first May bank holiday weekend. Both had the roast beef. We had a late lunch (2pm) and I was slightly worried the food might be limited or ‘the dregs’. Could not have been more wrong. The roast was the best we’ve ever had out. The beef (2 huge slices) was really flavourful and so tender and there was a good assortment of vegetables.
