Cooplands

So much easier than going into Boro, shame the Wilko closed but has been replaced with a pound-style store. Big Asda, Couplands, KFC & Greggs too, Boyes of course, Home Bargains, the Pavilion itself, several charity shops and plenty more. Car park can be busy at the roundabout since they built the Macdonald's and fuel station opposite, I park around the back and walk 2 minutes to the shopping centre, much easier.

Lovely place to visit, more shops than I first thought.....a cuppa and a bite to eat in Asda then a stroll under shelter (it was snowing)to other shops, home bargains, poundland, 1st class experience.....read full review

Oh it's such a shame that Thornaby, like so many other town centres is dying on its backside. Since I was last in Thornaby the butchers has closed and yet another vape shop has opened, but how long before new legislation kills both of these off. It's pleasing to see Wilko is reopened as Poundland. We know that town centres are dying buy how much longer must we put up with landlords insisting on full rent at the detriment of the town centres.
