Pataka

We have visited four or five times in the last two years and had more than a dozen deliveries. I highly recommend Pataka. It has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff knowledgeable about what on the menu is vegan. Our regular vegan order includes Vegetable Madras, Sabzi Chilli Dall, Sabzi Jalfrezie, and Saag Aloo with Chapatis and Pilau Rice. Delicious.<br><br>Dietary restrictions: Many vegan dishes but not marked on the menu.

Indian restaurant a little small but which allowed us to eat on our first evening in Edinburgh when the other places were already closed. Positively surprised by the food that we really liked and honest prices.

Our 2nd visit to Edinburgh and our 2nd visit to this gem of a curry house! My wife had the chicken jalfrezi with pilau rice, whilst I had a hot chicken vindaloo with rice also. Our naans were freshly cooked and piping hot. Staff were attentive, friendly and chatty. When we return to the city, we will definitely be making a point of coming back here, highly recommended.
