Hollowgate Fish and Chips

I really don't understand some of the negative reviews on here. Have just had absolutely delicious fish and chips. Nicest by far that I have had since last time I was here over a year ago

Used to be a really good chippy but had been a while since I'd last visited. The black pudding and haggis were OK but the chips were awful. Dry and wrinkled, no idea how long they had been sat there. Very disappointed. Decent portion sizes though.

I was recommended this place and what a lovely place.The cod fish was fresh and the batter was just amazing at a good price. Together with chips and curry sauce.Chips, you can't beat chippy chips. These were cooked to perfection. With curry sauce smothered, just a perfect Friday lunch.The staff are great with a little bit of small talk.
