The Bowling Green

I've not (yet) eaten here, but have visited a few times for open-mic evenings. I met such a lovely, friendly group of people who were there either to perform, listen, or just pop in for a drink.<br><br>I also spoke with the landlord, who happened to be sitting next to the bar listening to the acts, and he's a genuinely lovely bloke.<br><br>I intend to return soon, and hopefully next time I'll arrive early enough to try the menu.

Excellent local pub, the food & service was really good garden is small but nice, best to book in advance though, as when we went a 2nd time, restaurant looked empty, but we couldn't get a table, so assume, it was down to being short staffed.

Went here for Tapas and the first visit was amazing,the food and portion sizes were superb.The lady who served us (owner I think) was lovely.Unfortunately this review is based on our next visit,food is served until 8pm so we arrived in plenty of time only to be told by a young lad food was no longer being served as the last table that had booked let them down this was Saturday 27/7/24.We had travelled from Staffordshire to go only to be very disappointed,we headed to a pub around...read full review
