Went there today for Sunday roast, food took an hour to come because the bar staff forgot to put our order through. They did offer us free desserts for the mistake which was very kind. We had to keep going to the bar to order anything and ask for the bill because table service was non existent. We recently celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at The Cowper Arms booking for a party of 15 including children. It was a wonderful meal with everything cooked to perfection and all served together at the same time for each course. Sunday lunch. My wife is vegan and gluten free so there was only one option. The roast had the non-vegan yorkie and vegetables removed but not sure they added extra vegetables to compensate. The chicken burger was ok, proper chicken breast, and chips very nice. Service was prompt and friendly. It's a nice pub but lacking in atmosphere at the time we went (12:30 pm). Probably better in the evening.
