Well, what can I say about this experience. In January 2023 I wrote a list of the top 20 restaurants in Staffordshire according to TripAdvisor and this place was 19th on that list. It's the day of our wedding anniversary so I thought we'd give it a go. Walking in the pub, it was busy at the bar which we walked through to the dining room which was in darkness. We held our mum’s wake at the Red Lion. Mandy and team were very helpful in organising the event. As we arrived at 1pm we had sole use of the pub until 4pm. There was approx 60 plus of us attending and we had a nice buffet of hot and cold food with desserts, tea and coffee too. The children enjoyed playing in the secure beer garden too. We would recommend the Red Lion to others as a venue for a wake. Thank you
