Disabled access through side door Into a traditional dog friendly country pub just like they used to be but with the added advantage of restaurant standed food. Friendly welcoming staff and excellent service? wide ranging menu to suit all tastes and the lady of party stated the Scampi were the best Ever! In all well worth a visit and be prepared for a gut buster.
What a find. Called for a meal last night. Had no idea what to expect as we are just passing through (on the Chesterfield Canal). We were pleasantly impressed. The service was swift and friendly. The food was exceptional (and I am picky). The portion sizes were huge. The pub was also dog friendly, which was a big plus. Will definitely call again.

An absolute gem of an old worldy pub with a vintage country pub look and feel, 2 beautiful open fires and a selection of drinks, food is outstanding with proper homemade chips and reasonable prices, children's menu and mains cost around £10 to £20, also dogs are welcome and a nice walk down the Chesterfield canal, it's a great pub
