12A Newgate St, MorpethWent for a work's meal out. The service and food were both great. Really enjoyed it, was great value. Perhaps a little lacking in atmosphere. And the restaurant is up a steep flight of stairs which would make it very difficult for anyone with mobility or vision problems. But overall we had a really lovely time and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Tasty food, great service and all at a good price...perfect for what we were looking for.
Parking: No parking at restaurant, but plenty of free parking in Morpeth using the £1 parking discs (3 hrs max)

26 Abbey Meadows, MorpethNot usually one to post reviews but felt the need for this fantastic takeaway, we’ve tried lots of takeaway pizza over the years and I can honestly say these are the best pizzas by far.The chips had a lovely taste and the kebab was thinly cut and tasted delicious and the creamy garlic sauce was top notch too!Very fast delivery (especially for a Friday night) and easy to order.It was a bit more expensive than our usual takeaways, but it’s well worth the extra money for everything tasting this great, fresh and yummy.Pleased we found this…..Pizza Corner is our new takeaway favourite :)

The food was surprisingly really really good (I'm usually heavily disappointed with anywhere in Ashington or outlying towns), next time I'm back visiting family I'll definitely be ordering again. Recommend this one to my family instead of their usual. The Peshawari naan was really lovely, and had a good amount of filling in it, the vegetable balti was more of a traditional style and really gorgeous, very pleasant tiny kick of chilli and lots of mixed veg . The Kashmiri was also impeccable. Also you really can't fault the price, I think we got 3 sauces 1 rice and 1 naan for like around £20 definitely something that sways me to order here rather than anywhere else.

Vegetarian options: Four responsibly and locally sourced, veggies and vegan options on the board menu the day we were there. The fish and chips is good enough to make anyone a pescatarian for the day!

41 Grange Rd, MorpethI made an order via Just Eat as a guest so I can't leave a review on there. I ordered at approx 18:30 In Pegswood and the food was delivered at 18:55. It was absolutely red hot and very good. I ordered Salt and pepper ribs, Garlic and Chilli house special with fried rice, and a portion of chips. Couldn't fault it. Reading some of the reviews on Google, I advise that you look on Just eat as the recent reviews are good. 10/10 thanks

The place went through refurbishment issues few years ago which did cause some issues , however that's in the past .
A punch tavern establishment now & doing well , love to pop in Friday ,Saturday lunchtime & watch world go by .
Should any of you want food , drink etc, in Morpeth you could do a lot worse . So give it a go .
You might even see the legendary ghost .
Spirits served behind bar aren't only ones in the pub .

Bridge St, MorpethHad a wonderful experience for our daughter's engagement meal. Private room just off the bar great atmosphere without the noise! Jake was the person dealing with us. The range of food and beverages is amazing and changing regularly to keep everything fresh. Chef Deborah is a true magician of her art, the food here never fails to impress, gluten free items are available and clearly marked. The always cheerful staff are happy to answer any questions. But ONE BIG PLUS, this is a dog friendly cafe with a court yard seating area, and water bowls on hand for their 4 legged guests. Quite simply, what is there not to like about Micahs??.....NOTHING

They had a little sign up inside saying they prefer if you can pay in cash, worth being aware of as we were unprepared. And while they happily took a card payment in the future I would bring cash.

We were given a really warm welcome and had our suitcases as we'd just arrived from Birmingham and our apartment wasn't ready. They were really lovely and accommodating.
OMLETTES are on the menu !!!!????????????? ? ? And they serve them all day !!! Mine was a double cheese and mushroom omlette and it was delicious.
The Man had the Steak Pie and omg that isn't a pie, it's sensational - the meat is plentiful, melt in the mouth and the gravy is delicious, this is home cooked food like your grandma used to make, it's REAL, traditional food and tastes really good because it's high quality food!
We had a trifle and a cheesecake for dessert, both were gorgeous and what we really loved, they were not full of sugar, like modern desserts are, these were just right.
If you're sick of slick modern try-to-hard cafes, come here for some real soul, warm hearted banter and decent food ?????

The Courtyard Pegswood
The Courtyard, Longhirst Rd, Pegswood, MorpethTLDR: We chose the Courtyard because it had great reviews and was dog friendly. We’re up for the weekend with two dogs (managed to leave the kids with the grandparents). We had a wonderful evening and it lived up to every expectation. This place is brilliant! Staff are very friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic.
The exterior looks great. We arrived after dark to see the whole place illuminated with stylish up lights. The internal fit out looks great. Elegant, minimalist and modern but still warm and welcoming. Love the exposed look (floor boards from the ceiling above, RSJ, and copper pipework) with the parquet flooring. With the welcoming staff and live music we immediately felt welcome and comfortable.
The tables are nicely spread out. Lots of places pack you in but we had plenty of space. This was particularly good for us with the dogs. It meant they weren’t in the way and other customers didn’t have to be close to them, unless they wanted to come and say hello ?
The food was fantastic. My wife and I shared the queen scallops with focaccia bread to start. This was at the recommendation of our server. Using the bread to mop up the sauce from the scallops is a must! We both had the game pie for main. This was just perfect. Rich and full of flavour without being over powering. A large portion without being over facing and with a beautifully deep sauce. Very grateful for the wine recommendation from the maitre d, which was great.
For what we had I thought the price was very reasonable and was good value for money. I look forward to coming back when we’re next in the area!

The Office
Unit 2, The Chantry, Chantry Pl, MorpethVery small downstairs bar with extra seating upstairs . Excellent beers served. On my visit they had a large selection of cheese, chutney and biscuits on over. Lady behind the bar was lovely, think she was the owner. No point going anywhere else in Morpeth. Fantastic.

Char Mausum Indian Restaurant
Station Road End, Stannington, MorpethFirst visit, on a Friday night in March. Food was really good and some interesting choices on the menu that we'd not seen elsewhere. Service was a little slow but it was busy. Just under £100 without tip for two courses and drinks for 3 people.

13 Oldgate, Morpeth5 stars for this quaint and quirky tea room are not enough,I would happily give Micahs 10 stars. The range of food and beverages is amazing and changing regularly to keep everything fresh. Chef Deborah is a true magician of her art, the food here never fails to impress, gluten free items are available and clearly marked. The always cheerful staff are happy to answer any questions. But ONE BIG PLUS, this is a dog friendly cafe with a court yard seating area, and water bowls on hand for their 4 legged guests. Quite simply, what is there not to like about Micahs??.....NOTHING
