Wallace Arms
Rowfoot, HaltwhistleWe went to a private party here but we knew very few people. The whole experience was great. Everyone was so friendly. Complete strangers were chatting with us like old friends. Such interesting locals. Great atmosphere and lovely old pub feeling. Will definitely call again.

Oceans
Main St, HaltwhistleThis takeaway is one of my all favourite fish & chip shops! They are incredibly accommodating and have helped me get the best gluten free fish and chips. Thank you to the friendly staff, great food and interesting atmosphere. It's not a sit down restaurant but a delicious rake away with massive fish and chips that leave me waddling happily after eating them. I always look forward for going in for a couple of meals here whenever I'm up in Haltwhistle!
Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten free option. Discuss your options with the order taker before ordering. Mention any dietary restrictions. They have been incredibly supportive any time I've gone in for a take out.

Manor House Hotel, Pub & Restaurant
Main St, HaltwhistleHad a fantastic stay at the Manor House Haltwhistle. The room we stayed in was very comfy with a spacious bathroom. The staff were friendly and professional and gave us a very warm welcome. We ate in the restaurant in the evening next to a roaring fire. Top-notch tasty pub grub, would definitely recommend for an evening meal. The breakfast the next day was equally delicious with a large selection of cooked breakfast options, plus fresh fruit, toast, yoghurt and juice.

Jethros
Market Square, HaltwhistleGreat value salad boxes and sandwiches which we got most days we were on holiday. Majority of the staff were really friendly until our last day when we encountered someone who wasn't quite as pleasant as the rest. They were busy though.

Fryery
Sun House, Main St, HaltwhistleDuring last nights stay at Mole End Cottage we decided to pop to the Fryery upon a recommendation of the cottage owner. This take away has plenty to offer which was great as we fancied fish and chips and our girls wanted pizza, therefore it saved us having to go to two different places !! The prices are very reasonable and the food was delicious. The payment option is cash only, we are not local and wouldn't know where the nearest cash machine is located, luckily we had cash with us.Highly recommended.Kid-friendliness: The menu caters for children.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a small step to get in, however the staff were extremely friendly and I am sure they would offer as kuchen help as possible should it be needed
