The Pele
Market Pl, CorbridgeWarm, welcoming, and full of thoughtful touches! From the roaring fire to the hot water bottles, Alex at The Pele made sure we were cozy. Alex was fantastic—chatty, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for a memorable visit!

The Corbridge Larder
18 Hill St, CorbridgeA little cafe with great homemade food.
I visited in November and had the Welsh Rarebit. I then returned in August and had the Open Mackerel Sandwich (pictured). Both were of excellent quality and thoroughly enjoyable. The side salads are well put together with a tasty dressing.
The coffee cake is not too bad either… (review has been amended following demolition of cake).

Casa Rosso
18-22 Front St, CorbridgeVisited for dinner on a Tuesday evening whilst holidaying in the area...what a find!
My wife had a fillet steak with roasted vegetables which was melt-in-the-mouth delicious (as well as being very generous in size) and I had the lobster ravioli with tiger prawns which were also absolutely gorgeous!
The staff were very friendly, the service was good. Everything was obviously cooked from scratch and the cost was very reasonable.
If you're in the area I STRONGLY advise you to check out this wonderful, independent, authentic, family restaurant.

The Wellington
Main Road, Prudhoe, Riding MillUPDATE FOLLOWING REPLY
It's good that a company replies although, in this case, it was somewhat defensive as your responses to all 3 issues raised was to quote company policy. So:
1) I didn't find payment complicated, just over processed, as did the staff. It just needs to be made easier.
2) With the gluten free requirement you didn't recognise that my booking details had been ignored & we were both given standard menus.
3) You may well serve sandwiches until 4pm (no snacks after then?) but I was refused at 12pm!
Basically, you're a pub with a restaurant. Customer expectations include good service with a range of good food/drink options available at flexible times. We shouldn't need to do a deep dive into a website. You're a people business!
The staff were very attentive, professional & friendly. Clearly trained in the art of "up-selling" At the time of booking, we did advise that one guest needed gluten free but this seemed to have been missed.
The food options we chose were pretty good and not bad value at the promotion price. The menu wasn't entirely clear on gluten free options.
The payment process was a bit painful as a voucher offer was being used. A very long number had to be entered into the till. This was part of an email which I could easily have deleted prior to the visit.
Fortunately, I hadn't but with your Wi-Fi unavailable & little or no phone signal in Riding Mill on my EE network, there was a potential problem.
Eventually, I managed to open the email. Just as well as we were informed that the alternative would have been to pay full price.
I am sure that you could simplify this process in future.
My second food visit to the Wellington. On the first occasion I was with 3 friends. Whilst they wanted hot meals, all I wanted was a sandwich. I was told that they didn't do sandwiches!
If I decide to risk another food visit - third time lucky!!

Tea and Tipple
18 Market Pl, CorbridgeMy husband and I visited Corbridge Village today and popped into the Tea & Tipple for lunch.
The staff were friendly.
We had the Brie caramelised onion and mushroom panini. The Cappuccino was amazing and my husband had the orange juice.
The menu is thought of and different, in which I like the menu what is on offer; though as a vegetarian they could offer vegetarian sausages, bacon...
Very clean, & the tables were clean & not sticky or dirty.
There is alot of space inside.
Toilets clean too.
Totally recommend.
Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, but some of the combinations of a panini I fancied but had meat. Could offer vegetarian non meat.
I've added a picture of the menu.
Parking: Across the bridge there is a large free parking car park & not far from the cafe; & in the village is paid parking.
Lots of disabled parking in the village and car park.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of room for a wheelchair.
There is a step to get in.

Massey's Tea Room
26 Middle St, CorbridgeHeard so many reviews and gf lunch available at Massey's Tea Room, was such a lovely tea room and stepping inside a little cosy space and warmth atmosphere the peace that you will need away from the city centre in Newcastle. The staff who had served me and explain about the allergens on the menu selection was spot on. I had a blt gf sandwich and lentil soup, a glass of orange juice. It was just the right size portion for me and had really enjoy my lunch. Lucky enough I have asked for take out and what was left especially a different staff member had advise me about the GF brownie, tea cakes, crumpets. the selection of scones were sold out as it was very popular. So I had gone for the tea cakes and brownies to take away for me. The high beam ceiling surely stood out to me with the historical features of the building on the top floor. Something you can't take away but enjoy looking at it. Thank you for looking after during the late lunch hour around 3ish pm. Fantastic service to all of you. I'll definitely be back again for a spot of lunch.

The Dyvels Inn
Station Rd, CorbridgeCannot recommend this place highly enough. Staff were so friendly and made us and our dog feel so welcome. The chef is obviously a big dog lover, and came out and made a big fuss of our bear, feeding him some lovely cooked chicken. We were cooked some lovely garlic prawns as a sharing starter, followed by two huge main meals. Everything was cooked to perfection too. You will not leave this place hungry, I promise you. Staff, friendliness, quality of food, without a doubt 5/5. Wish we lived closer as we would be regulars here.

Craft Works Gallery
The Forge Bridge End, CorbridgeThis place is a hidden gem, literally!! Lots of nice stuff in here, and I particularly liked the silver jewellery and leather ware. Not much parking at the front, so I would suggest parking in the free car park on the south side of the Tyne, and taking a 250m wonderfully scenic stroll across the bridge.

Angel Street Food
C/O Angel Inn Main Street, CorbridgeThe Fish and Chips were huge! After a long day of flights and airport issues, the Angel was a quick bus ride from Newcastle where we started our Hadrian's Wall hike. The Angel has been welcoming travelers since 1752 and it did not disappoint. It was the perfect place to decompress. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and a few pints overlooking the historic stone bridge over the River Tyne. The Angel is easy walking distance to the Corbridge Rome Town. After good night sleep and a hearty breakfast, we were off on the hike. The hotel staff ensured our bags were marked and loaded in the vans to be transported to the next hotel. The Angel Inn takes excellent care of travelers. Hope to return again.

The Wheatsheaf
St Helen's St, CorbridgeWent for Sunday Carvery lunch. I had beef on my mind before arrival, but as a matter of course, they cook the beef well done (no blood at all). It's a personal taste thing, but I really like my beef rare for a Sunday Roast. The service was excellent though. Apart from the beef issue and being given a set number of roasties (unable to serve yourself), it was good.
