Tea in the Paddock
Paddock Hall, Morpeth Rd, ChoppingtonToday was our first visit to this wonderful find, lovely surrounding, so relaxed and chilled, staff amazing, don’t have the name of the lady who served us (could be sky), she was so lovely and helpful and our lunch was amazing. A large hot bowl of soup and a freshly made (no pre packed here) toasted sandwich, followed by a hot coffee and delicious cake. We will definitely be back and can’t recommend highly enough.

Dilshad Tandoori Indian Takeaway
125 Ashington Dr, Choppington*** Edit - Manager visited our house the same night and spoke to my husband, he apologised and explained the reasons regarding our experience, he was very apologetic, I will keep my review in place and hopefully if we order again the review will be more positive *** we ordered our food at 17.50pmz, they actually rang us to say it would be delivered by 19.10pm, By 20.00pm still no delivery rang the takeaway twice advised it was with the driver and 5 minutes away and they had contacted the driver, we ended up ordering elsewhere at 20.30pm, food turned up we refused order and the driver stated the shop hadn't rung them at all and gave us a totally different excuse as to why the delivery was coming up to 3 hours wait, not confident to use again and we have used many times before

Ruby Cantonese Takeaway
131 Ashington Dr, ChoppingtonNew to the area, we're so happy to have found Ruby's Cantonese! We ordered a Char Sui Curry with chips, S&S Chicken in batter with fried rice, pancake rolls and plain chow mein. The fried rice was bland, but everything else was excellent!Pancake rolls were crisp, tasty, but not greasy. The Chicken in batter was SO flavourful, tender and perfectly cooked, and the sweet and sour sauce was clearly NOT the standard jarred stuff that most Chinese takeaways use, and though I don't actually mind the taste of that, this sauce was definitely superior! My hubby said the curry was great, and even the plain chow mein was very flavourful. After trying 3 other places in the area in the last 3 months and being disappointed in all, we've now found our go-to for Chinese takeaway! Great service and quick delivery as well!
