The Magna Tandoori

On our holidays from Lancashire and decided to stop in for an Indian in Berwick. Food was delicious here and the staff were awesome and attentive. Fast service. Compliments to the chefs.

Foxtons Winebar & Restaurant

Pre concert meal.
Cheerful welcome, nice (if chilled ) pint of guiness, and good not too sweet cider.
Longish 20 minutes wait for service but when our order arrived:
Mine mussels, plenty of the same and sauce, I'd have preferred more cream, but great value. Again a personal gripe, I'd rather have a couple of chunks of bread than the well cooked and tasty chips.
Fellow diner's Moroccan lamb very much enjoyed. Freshly cooked, tasty, satisfying quantity.
Sadly no time to try the dessert menu.
Looking around, nice atmosphere, couples, friends and a solitary diner. Everyone tucking in.
Just over £40, reasonable for what was on offer. We'll be trying the sweet menu on our next outing to Berwick.

Lovely dog friendly cafe/ restaurant. This was our first time, but others sitting near us regularly visit. We had delicious homemade mushroom soup and two cakes. We will go back again soon.

Royal Garden

Great food, it's the popular Chinese menu (so fitted to western tastes rather than the full-on Cantonese cuisine) and we ate here twice while on holiday. Photo is the starter platter and that was delicious. Mains were good portion and well balanced in terms of spice and seasoning. It's a small kitchen running a sit in and take away so there is a bit of a wait for food but equally you're not being hurried to finish either. Scores on the doors rates well, too. Mains around the £10pp, dinner for two with starter came in below £50

Greggs

Food was ok - warm and a bit soggy feeling to me. Could have been cleaner with dirty tables and rubbish on floors; I was taking out anyway. Served was quite blunt and short - felt like they were stressed and that made me feel rushed and undervalued. Good stock of items.Parking: No on street parking or parking available at store.Wheelchair accessibility: Level access. No lowered counter.

The Berwick Shellfish Co.

Having first done a circuitous tour of Berwick to find it, the crab and lobster we bought was outstanding. My wife had been craving a Crab Sandwich for a long time, and our tea that night, with crusty bread, was spot on…

I edited it on Google maps, which means now others won’t get the tour before shopping: the address was correct; the map location was still on the old address… you’re welcome ? ?…

Golden Star

Staying at the caravan park at Berwick.Decided to give this place a try as it has reasonable reviews.Couldn't fault the food, speed of service or portion sizes.Called it in and collected the food in under 20mins. It's a very short drive from the park and easy to get parked outside.Cash only - dont blame them cash is king.Ordered chicken curry, sweet and Sour chicken, rice and chips. Which amounted to 18.70.Portions were huge. 2 adults could share a meal with a few chips and some rice easily.Chicken curry was full of large prices of chicken, it had onions, mushrooms and peas too.Sweet n sour chicken was good, lots of battered chicken, with onions, carrots, pine apple and peppers in the sauce.All round fantastic Chinese take away.I wish it was in my town.Order with confidence, this place should have a 5 star rating from Google.

Can we all take a moment or a life time too appreciate this creative and loving service giving from the staff at wingbox. Sometimes you have to take the little things in life and make them what you can. I asked for a chicken to be drawn on my delivery and well….see attached photo for what I was gifted with. Nothing but love, respect and appreciation to the artists ❤️P.S one of you played Kirby for sure ?

C-Breeze Takeaway

First time trying here tonight and it was amazing. The lady serving was really happy and helpful, the place was clean and the food was excellent! The instructions we left were followed to a T without a bit of bother.

Ozkan's Grill

Good. Quality of the food is great. Prices are a little on the high side but made up for by the massive portion sizes. Probably the most authentic restaurant locally and possibly the best kebab shop in Berwick.

China House Chinese Takeaway

First chinese I've had in Berwick area, and thought I was ordering from a different one until I punched in the postcode! So I didn't know it was there, tucked into a housing estate in Tweedmouth, sort of behind the Tweedmouth Retail park. Enough of the geography, onto the food! I ordered Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice, and portion of Salt + Pepper Chips. Food ready exactly when advised on the app. Cash only, so luckily I was near a cashpoint when I realised that. Food was excellent. Massive portion (8 huge pork balls), piping hot, freshly made. Chips were perfect. I'd definitely recommend this if you are in the area, and after a Chinese takeaway night in.

The Townhouse Café

I went in to have a look around and found the place to be so nice, I ended up staying for my lunch. The staff were lovely. I ordered the scampi and chips which came with salad and tartar sauce. The scampi was the best I have ever tasted and reasonably priced. Wonderful service too. Definitely recommend lunch here.

Prior Chippy

Used for second time . Not in area often. Had haggis and chips... Wasn't the best haggis but was nice enough for me to have again. So I will use again in future.

Food has always been good, fresh and delicious, the salad is always delicious and fresh, we come from Norham and the food is still hot by the time we get home. Prices are very good, service is great shop is spotless. Never had a bad meal

The Corner House

Visited today at lunch time and we had a great time. The waitresses were lovely and the food tasted great, lovely atmosphere too, will come back to try some cakes.

The White Swan Inn

Great local pub. Nice real ales on top. Seemed to always be busy but that wasn't an issue. Always got a table.

Really friendly staff and locals. Plus, dog friendly. Which for us helps.

Food was freshly prepared, the cod was huge!.

The Red Lion

Lovely pub, popped in on our mooch about Berwick and the staff and customers where lovely and friendly, definitely recommend a visit, can imagine a nighttime visit would be a lot of fun, proper drinkers pub , don't think they do food but wasn't there for that and they like their football and banter.Hope to get back someday for sure.

Loaf vegan b&b.

Wonderful holiday at Loaf! Host Karen provides a warm welcome and plenty of local information to get you started in your Berwick/Tweedmouth explorations. The apartment has two double bedrooms, sitting room, kitchen area (no sink or stove/oven, but there’s a basin & dish detergent, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster and lots of crockery) and bathroom with a deep tub and a shower. Lots of vintage items throughout, many reference books and framed pictures, especially of the natural world, and many tourist brochures. Good WiFi. For breakfasts, guests have on hand the makings of hot drinks, bread, jam, marmalade, butter (everything vegan, of course) and plant milk. A warm breakfast is brought at a prearranged time. I enjoyed the four that I had, all attractively presented: warmed seasonal fruit with yogurt, breakfast pizza, multigrain porridge topped with fruit, and crumpet stack.
Loaf is located across the bridge, an easy walk from Berwick high street. Karen is a lovely host, the apartment is very comfortable, the breakfasts are delicious, and Berwick/Tweedmouth is a great place to visit, with riverside paths, walkable town walls, the LS Lowry Trail (artist, 1887-1976) and more.

The Angel Inn

Nice friendly locals pub. Love how on my visits always sports on TV no matter what. Appreciate how friendly the locals are to an 'out of towner' like me - thanks folks

Ford Village Shop & Post Office

Ford is such a wonderful village that we make sure we revisit every time we are in Northumberland. This time we had time for a drink and were highly delighted with the quality of product at The Village Shop. Will certainly return again

The Old Dairy

Absolute gem, lots of very attractive (price and appearance) items, including some nice arts and crafts chairs and tables. Why would anyone buy new furniture from Barker and Stonehouse when for less cash you can have chairs that have timeless class, and will last and last?

Oxford Farm Shop

Stopped there for a quick bite to eat on the way back from Edinburgh. Nothing fancy about this place, but a friendly welcome, clean and colourful.
We had a small sort of high tea, consisting of a few sandwiches and cakes, cup of tea and coffee each. Lovely food, and bloody cheap!
If you want somewhere poncy maybe try somewhere else, but if you want good decent & reasonably priced food, you won't go wrong here!
Some very snarky comments on here about the size and range of goods on sale in the shop, and whether this is in fact a 'Farm Shop'. Well it's a small shop, in a farm, so yes it is. Produce on sale looked great, and I was assured it was all home made.

Island Oasis Coffee Shop

It was very busy when we came but the staff were quick, professional and friendly, we came for lunch whilst visiting Holy Island for the day. Food was really good, good portion and nice side salad. Well priced. Wasn't waiting long for our food to be ready. The place is really clean and well kept. Have an amazing display of cakes and desserts. Lovely little cafe.
