The Clock Tower Tea Rooms
Castle Hotel, BamburghWe arrived really hungry, and the food was served really quickly. Jacket potatos are massive, highly recommended. Lovely atmosphere, lovely views. I'd say the price is quiet expensive, but totally worth it!

The Pantry
1 Doctor's Ln, BamburghThis place is a small corner shop with no seating. The food is refreshingly reasonable in price given the Bamburgh tax that seems to exist everywhere else in the village. Made to order sandwiches are the mainstay of the menu, complimented by freshly baked pies, pasties and quiches. Coffee is from a prepared machine but absolutely fine. This is the kind of place where you know the profits are staying with the owners who I've no doubt been served by today. Keep it local and go here. A great little find ??

Would return in a heartbeat.Noteworthy details: Central location, dog friendly (they were offered treats!), would highly recommend the prawn cocktail and the mussels.

The Copper Kettle Tea Rooms
21 Front St, BamburghAs we were in Bamburgh and time was getting on, we popped into the Copper Kettle for our lunch. We ordered the homemade coliflower soup ? ? and cheese ? scones with a cappuccino and tea. Good fast service ? the soup was pipping hot ? and the cheese ? scones were warm. Staff welcoming, friendly, and polite.

The Castle Inn
7 Front St, BamburghSaw The Middle Inn was dog friendly, and went along sample the wears. The Inn was very busy and had a great atmosphere, along with an inviting open fire .Good selection of food and drinks .Chose the crab sandwiches, which came with salsa garnish and a few ready slated crisps.Salad was dressed nicely , crisps were nothing special , and crab sandwiches were served on conventional brown bread ( and like mass produced sandwiches- had generous filling at the front of the sandwich, but not so much at the back ). Enjoyed never the less .Customer service was excellent , along with friendly helpful staff .Worth a visit after a day of walking or beach combing
