Went back for the first time yesterday and was very disappointed to receive greasy battered chicken pieces in my salad instead of fresh chicken. the reason I chose the salad was cause I wanted something lighter and it was the first time Ive ever had fried chicken in a salad. Wouldn't order it again.

103 Central Promenade, NewcastleThe decor of the place gives it a great atmosphere. The owner is friendly and provides first class service. And the food, Soup of the day was carrot and coriander and it’s probably the best thing I have ever had. My partner ordered ribs and the meat was prepared so well it was just pealing off the bone. For my main I had their vegetarian burrito and it was amazing. Portion sizes are great too. I couldn’t even finish my burrito because it was so big. Definitely recommend this place. Absolutely loved it! We will definitely be back next time we are in Newcastle.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian burrito was amazing. The chef of this place really knows how to make food.

Dundrum Inn
143 Main St, Dundrum, NewcastleWent with the family for an overnight in the Dundrum Inn.Greeted by a very pleasant female member of staff and were taken up too our two rooms.From the moment you open the front door into the hallway you could see everything had been refurbished to a very high standard beautiful.Then into our rooms again the attention to detail in both rooms was amazing with beautiful bathroom decor in both rooms.Rooms more like 4/5 star hotel rooms well above any b&b facilities I've ever stayed in.Had a great day out in the near by Forest in Newcastle only a very short drive away.Then back to our rooms for a quick change and down to the bar itself for a few drinks whilst listening to an amazing acoustic performance from a female artist who had everyone singing or tapping their feet along to the songs.All the local people in the bar were super friendly also making our night.All in all a great night away with family in great surroundings. P.S the Guinness was great.

10 Main St, Dundrum, NewcastleWe'd been planning to go to the Dundrum Seafood bar for a while & a birthday gave us the opportunity. We went on a Saturday lunchtime, seven of us including two young kids. Not disappointed. We all had different dishes, fish/seafood starters, mains & dessert - all excellent. Guinness was very good too. It wasn't too busy & the tables are not packed together, which made it really pleasant. I like the decor too. Service was excellent. All in all a very good lunch. We will be back.

They use maris piper spuds, the goujans are the best I've ever had & portion sizes are massive! You can split a meal between 2 no bother. Staff are very friendly too had a good chat with the bossman!

Came back home due to some poor health and got a pollo pizza, had a bit of confusion with the pronunciation because I said it the Spanish way and it annoyed the server but I understand that it was a bit of confusion between us both when communicating. The staff are all very nice. Best pizza in Newcastle :) I'll be back again next time I'm home, such a great spot

I do like a coffee and croissant but this was at another level. Early morning on the prom at Newcastle watching the town waken. I can't recommend it enough!

The batter on the fish was thick and stodgy and chips were soggy and soaked in a very watered down vinegar. Only thing I can say is that the staff were very busy and may have overlooked cooking times and batter thickness. would definitely give this place another go at a less busy time of day.

Huge range of flavours, must be about 20 different flavours on display and all look fantastic. Tried stroop waffle, toffee and white chocolate & raspberry as a 3 scoop tub, wife had a 2 scoop tub, price was under £7 which is very good, for what was too class ice cream. Friendly and professional staff. Much better than most ice cream cafes that NEVER CHANGE THEIR FLAVOURS. It will take many more visits to get through the other lovely flavours on offer. I see they also do coffees and a load of other treats that I didn't really take time to look at tonight, but I will on next visit.
