80 Halfway Rd, BanbridgeWe had birthday celebration on Tuesday 3rd December 2024 for 20 people. Diane and staff had kept in touch as it was a surprise, and they had table all set up with balloons and banners we'd left, but also added birthday napkins which was a lovely touch. Food was first class, service was brilliant, nothing was too much bother, including bringing out our cake and serving it too. Staff had to put up with quite a bit of banter from our party and they handled it magnanimously. Well done guys, definitely over and above xx

There was a nice buzz when we arrived but very quiet at the end, possibly because it was a Thursday. All in all, was a lovely meal, even though on the expensive side.

Mac's Traditional Fish & Chips

The staff was so kind to us as we chatted about our home in Florida and the Holidays we’ve taken. We cannot wait to come back.

We just happened to check it out when our usual place was closed and we are now only getting our takeaway from China palace. The food is fantastic quality and the portions are massive. The meat and veg in the dishes are always really fresh and great quality and there is always plenty in your meals. The staff are always so lovely and polite on the phone and we haven't had one issue with any orders we've made. Delivery service is always super quick too. I don't have one bad thing to say about this takeaway. It's fantastic and we highly recommend them.

12 Bridge St, BanbridgeThis is our go to Chinese; it’s the best in the town. Never had a bad meal. Always cooked fresh and always full of flavour. The salted chilli ribs and bang bang chicken are unreal. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t go anywhere else!

84 Newry St, BanbridgeFirst visited on 18th Aug after checking online for Chinese food takeaways. When we visited, a very pleasant lady behind counter took our order. We got 2 x Cantonese style sweet and sour chicken, with chips and 2 bottles of soft drink. Bill was less than £17, which I thought was an excellent price, especially with cost of produce nowadays. From ordering to receiving our food was only about 10mins. We also got a large bag of delicious prawn crackers added to our takeaway bag. Food was absolutely gorgeous. Firstly, very warm, massive portions of both chips and sweet and sour chicken. Lovely crispy chicken, fresh vegetables and delicious sauce. Chips were top quality. All in all, a takeaway that would easily rival sitting in, in a top quality Chinese restaurant. Friendly staff and brilliant food. Will definitely return on a regular basis and would have no hesitation in recommending. If you are really lucky, you can get a parking place on roadside beside takeaway.

18 Scarva Rd, BanbridgeCame here for food for my mates birthday, I brought a birthday cake when I made the reservation, and told them to bring it out after we were done our food. Everything went super smooth, food was delicious, staff super friendly and it was lovely atmosphere.
I had a lovely carbonara. It all came to £85 for the 4 of us which is normal price. Defo recommend it here.

30 Bridge St, BanbridgeOrdered a birthday cake for my daughters 21st. Gave a brief description of what I was looking for and was told no problem they would sort it no bother at all. Collected cake yesterday and was absolutely blown away by what we received. The overall look and finish was beautiful but the taste and the texture was gorgeous. The cake was moist with just the right amount of jam and buttercream.
The staff are polite and professional and the cost is fantastic. Will definitely be ordering birthday cakes from here again in the future and highly recommend.

Fifth Quarter
50 Bridge St, BanbridgeI had the best Sunday roast I have ever had and I have tried many!! The food was fresh and flavoursome and was a work of art on the plate. We also had two beautiful glasses of wine and a chocolate & orange cheesecake which was so tasty and fresh.
We had a baby with us and they were very accommodating and understanding when she knocked a glass from the table.
My only negative was the pop music that was playing loudly on a Sunday afternoon, we asked to have it lowered as I could not have a conversation with my mother at the table, for the beautiful decor I would expect some relaxing frank sinatra or instrumental music. We mentioned it to the manager on the way out and he said they are trying to attract a younger crowd, I get where they are coming from and on a sat night playing Madonna could work but even playing the soundtrack of Bridgerton that has pop influence but is still instrumental give a much better ambience.
I would love to take my grandparents who are in their 90’s who love dining out but the music would be far too loud for them.
I will def be back with some friends for the food alone ??
