Vines Brasserie is a restaurant that fails to live up to its reputation as one of the better quality and pricier establishments in the area. The food, while offering a nice selection, is generally mediocre and underwhelming. The chicken is overcooked and dry, the fries have an unpleasant oily taste, and the pina colada posset is more mousse-like with an inedible shortbread. Even the pork strips and ice cream, though nice, are not great. The service is somewhat disinterested, and the overall atmosphere is almost bland and forgettable, with a decor that feels like a cheap imitation of a chain restaurant. While there are a few nice touches, such as the white gloves used when delivering food, the restaurant ultimately stumbles in its execution, falling short of the high-class experience it aims to provide.
