The Plough Inn is a local pub that offers a great tasting menu with delicious paired wines. The team is fantastic at explaining the dishes, and the work they've done to the back garden has made it a top spot on the local pub list. The staff are polite, friendly, and happy to cater to dietary needs, such as adjusting the menu for a coeliac partner. The food is among the best, with good portions and interesting choices, although it may not be the cheapest. The restaurant is welcoming to families, with a two-year-old and a baby in a pram spotted during visits. The Sunday roast beef and Yorkshire lunch is excellent, with a wonderful selection of vegetables, huge slices of pink roast beef, and lashings of gravy. The service is top-notch, with an attentive maitre d'hote. The only criticism is the noise level from a neighboring table in the small, crowded room.
