Duke of York Whitby is a family-style pub located at the bottom of the steps leading to the Abbey. It features a modern interior with a nautical theme and offers great views over the harbour. The pub can get quite busy, especially around 4pm on Thursdays, making it difficult to find a seat without a reservation. Guests have enjoyed drinks and noted the clean tables and available seating. However, some found the fish & chips and fish goujons had unexpected flavours and thick batter. There is also a sign for a beer garden with water views.
