We stumbled on this pub while looking for a place to have Sunday lunch. Sarah and the team were amazing and made us feel part of the family. Great pub, fantastic service and top notch food. We returned twice more for dinner and breakfast, both of which were fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Whitby area.

A great place to sit and enjoy fabulous homemade cakes. So many to choose from.
Good variety of sandwiches etc on the menu. Friendly staff. Not over priced.
Definitely a place to go and find ?

Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating with a good choice.

Busy town so can be difficult to park near the cafe but it's within easy walking of the main car parks.

Kid-friendliness: Children and dogs welcome.

Ditto

Ditto is a small cosy restaurant in Whitby and well worth a visit if your looking for good food and service. Two courses for £30 with bread dips and a sorbet inclusive. The only issue (not the restaurant fault) been this place is really small so you are relying on fellow diners to act like adults in a restaurant. Unfortunately we got stuck adjacent to two psd up Yorkshire couples.. enough said... tainted the night somewhat...but didn't spoil it altogether...luck of the draw.. sometimes you get the arseholes. You may also need cash...the card machine had been broken for a week ?

Went to the restaurant based on recommendation. Had to queue 20mins outside for a table even though there were plenty of empty tables in the restaurant not occupied the entire time we were eating. The service was excellent with very engaging servers. Food arrived quickly with great selection of fish dishes as well as desserts. The classic fish and chips was great although batter was a bit soggy.

If you visit Whitby and want delightful food with excellent service in a lovely setting - don’t miss a visit to The Garden Room.

Pictures don’t do it justice - quirky and comfy at the same time.

Wished we’d booked a stayed overnight - or popped in for lunch - which looked ridiculous value for money.

Highly highly recommend.

Came here for breakfast. The staff were accomidating and allowed us to modify 2 of the breakfasts and swap out some items. The full breakfast comes with a drink for under £12 which was great value for money. The food was nice, but the only thing I would say is the bacon was a little chewy, and the fried egg wasn't runny enough for my liking. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I was treated to afternoon tea here, it was absolutely delicious! Tucked away up a little alley in Whitby a lovely Bistro. Seating inside & out, a great menu & wonderful staff. We each had a choice of 2 sandwiches, that were made with very fresh bread & generous fillings, an extra soup, tart or humous with pitta bread, a scone with cream & jam, plus a choice of 2 slices of cake (not small portions may I add!) We ended up taking our cake home! Not forgetting tea or coffee.
It was certainly worth the 100+ mile round trip. I throughly enjoyed my treat! The other food served to other customers also looked wonderful & a decent sized portion.
Highly recommend if you are in the area.

very fresh, me tuna wife egg, both with a lovely garnish. Recommend this spot. Well be back.

A lovely little tea room that’s filled with happiness and cozy vibes. It’s a charming location where the staff are always welcoming and friendly. I came here with my family awaiting our house to be available and this was the perfect place to kill an hour. The decor really reflects the heritage of Whitby which stokes conversation and is aesthetically pleasing as you dine on some afternoon tea. The prices are good and I’d definitely recommend this place for most people who are looking to enjoy an atmosphere in warm company. Looking forward to my return visit for another scone!
