Bean Loved
17 Otley St, SkiptonAbsolutely loved this cafe we stumbled across when we came for the day to Skipton. We didn't know about it and it is up a side street so not easy to see but we are very pleased we did.
We sat outside with our two dogs and had some food and drinks. Latte was lovely and fresh orange was actually real oranges and not a juice. Lovely.
The food!!!!!!! We had Eggs Benedict and we absolutely loved it. Different as it had pulled ham rather than a piece of ham but we thought that was great and it tasted fab!!!
The lady serving us was also lovely and we felt attended to and not ignored with us being outside which can sometimes happen when you're outside a venue.
Would definitely recommend ??

The Garden Room Restaurant
The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa, Bolton Bridge, SkiptonThis was a Christmas present from our daughter. The setting is lovely, staff are excellent and the actual afternoon tea was in my top 3. I preferred the savoury items (saffron arancino and chorizo quiche) and the sweet stuff to the sandwiches. My favourite sweet things were the carrot cake (gorgeous) and the chocolate slice. The buttermilk scones were very tasty. Good choice of teas, I had Lapsang Souchong. They also did a great alternative for lactose intolerance. All in all, very enjoyable.

Rhubarb restaurant
Herriots Hotel, Broughton Rd, SkiptonWe visited Rhubarb restaurant as we were staying at Herriotts Hotel and the only reason for our stay was to try the vegan tasting menu.
The restaurant was lovely and modern with nice lighting and we had a lovely table for two. The food was fabulous, beautifully presented, piping hot plates, full of flavour and perfect portions for a tasting menu. The service at front of house was great too, a young team who were brilliant. We did some research as to which wines were vegan on the menu and ordered a Sauvignon Blanc which was actually labelled vegan on the bottle.
I spoke to chefs Callum and Joe who had never actually cooked the vegan menu before and I have to take my hat off, they did an absolutely stunning job. I can't fault the experience at all and we will definitely return as I believe a new vegan tasting menu is due to be released.

Oakleys Grill & Pizzeria
5 Albert Terrace, SkiptonCame here as a walk in group of 6 of us including my toddler and a dog on early Sat evening. We were welcomed and shown to a large table. Menu has something for everyone, we came on my Birthday without a plan but came across this venue on Google and glad we did. We all had starters and the food was well cooked and fresh, ribs were a massive portion and cajun prawns cooked to perfection. Our mains followed shortly after, huge portions again all perfectly cooked including steak just as ordered. We actually asked for a box to take some away as we were all so full. Staff helpful and friendly, food well cooked and prices very reasonable ? Definitely recommend visiting!

The Tea Cottage
6 B6160, SkiptonWow, what a wonderful place to stop off for something to eat or drink. Just been on a long walk around the Abbey and stopped off for a bite and a drink. The room inside is beautifully decorated and very clean. There is plenty of seating inside and out. It's disabled access friendly, which I need (well done). It looks like the staff really cares about the place. The staff are very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, even though it was getting late and quiet so they were nearing closing. Good quality hot chocolate and latte, excellent panini's. I would highly recommend a visit. 5 star.

Dales Cottage Cafe & Grill
Albion House, Otley St, SkiptonMy mum recommended eating here but warned me to book. And she is never wrong. So I decided to take her here for a lunch meal.
The menu is very extensive with similar priced food options and all very affordable.
I ordered an American coffee and a mint lamb giant yorkshire pudding with a jug of gravy included.
First of all coffee was some of the best I have ever tasted.
Our meals arrived at almost the same time and I found the mint lamb yorkshire pudding incredibly flavourfull and filling, it was absolutely divine.
The staff (all ladies) were very friendly and accommodating and do a fantastic job.
Thankyou for a pleasant meal we will certainly be returning again very soon.

Caffè Nero
40-42 Sheep St, SkiptonA better example of a Neros with decent service and coffee / Barista skills evident. My soy cap was good and wife's Oat HC excellent. Just let down, as usual for this chain by the lack of ANY vegan savoury options, all week on our stay here there was nada. At Costa while don't like their coffee as much I had 3 vegan savoury choices including an excellent toastie. Not the fault of the fine Skipton Nero Branch I would guess but some more senior Muppet
Would return, unless I was hungry as because I can't eat meat / dairy these folk think it's fine to have NOTHING
Dietary restrictions: They advertise vegan dishes brilliantly, and also never stock them.
Go figure ?

The Devonshire - JD Wetherspoon
22 Newmarket St, SkiptonWetherspoons? If you have been in one, then there's a good chance the next one that you go into will be pretty similar and The Devonshire is no exception. A very large old converted property full of rooms of all sizes and always busy!
What Wetherspoons achieve across the country is the ability to provide beers and food at exceptionally reasonable prices and quality! ?
It's a shame there aren't a lot more companies in the industry that don't follow Wetherspoons marketing philosophy in the current climate.

The Lister Arms
Malham, SkiptonI think the Lister Arms is a real gem of a place. I've continued to return with my now 9 year old since Aria was tiny and wherever we go, nothing seems to fill the place in my heart which the Lister Arms in Malham holds. Set in the most idyllic, quaint and magical place the Lister Arms seems to effortlessly create an atmosphere, ambience and awe that seems so perfect you'd think you'd walked into a film. It goes without saying that the business is a real testament to each and every person behind the scenes and on the coal face because what they appear to have created is a seamless, well-oiled and truly spectacular place to be! The rooms, the restaurant and bar are spotlessly clean, with roaring fires and something for everyone whatever the weather and delivered with a Yorkshire welcome. I have fallen in love with this place each and every time I visit and would recommend ❤️

Two Sisters Bar & Kitchen
3A Mill Bridge, SkiptonWe found and picked this place based on other reviewers and we're not disappointed.
The building is full of character. From the traditional stone exterior, to the dark themed interior dotted with pictures and decorative mirrors. It felt unpretentious and welcoming.
The menus provide an interesting mix of dishes that combine different cultural cuisine, and good variety.
The food was delicious, with some lovely flavours. Portion sizes were reasonable and I'd say good value.
Service was generally good. Certainly friendly and welcoming, but the table hadn't been cleaned and nobody noticed we didn't have any cutlery (provided in a can).
Certainly worth a revisit next time we're in the area.
Vegetarian options: There's a few good options on the menu.
