Bean Loved
17 Otley St, SkiptonAbsolutely loved this cafe we stumbled across when we came for the day to Skipton. We didn't know about it and it is up a side street so not easy to see but we are very pleased we did.
We sat outside with our two dogs and had some food and drinks. Latte was lovely and fresh orange was actually real oranges and not a juice. Lovely.
The food!!!!!!! We had Eggs Benedict and we absolutely loved it. Different as it had pulled ham rather than a piece of ham but we thought that was great and it tasted fab!!!
The lady serving us was also lovely and we felt attended to and not ignored with us being outside which can sometimes happen when you're outside a venue.
Would definitely recommend ??

Rhubarb restaurant
Herriots Hotel, Broughton Rd, SkiptonWe visited Rhubarb restaurant as we were staying at Herriotts Hotel and the only reason for our stay was to try the vegan tasting menu.
The restaurant was lovely and modern with nice lighting and we had a lovely table for two. The food was fabulous, beautifully presented, piping hot plates, full of flavour and perfect portions for a tasting menu. The service at front of house was great too, a young team who were brilliant. We did some research as to which wines were vegan on the menu and ordered a Sauvignon Blanc which was actually labelled vegan on the bottle.
I spoke to chefs Callum and Joe who had never actually cooked the vegan menu before and I have to take my hat off, they did an absolutely stunning job. I can't fault the experience at all and we will definitely return as I believe a new vegan tasting menu is due to be released.

The Garden Room Restaurant
The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa, Bolton Bridge, SkiptonThis was a Christmas present from our daughter. The setting is lovely, staff are excellent and the actual afternoon tea was in my top 3. I preferred the savoury items (saffron arancino and chorizo quiche) and the sweet stuff to the sandwiches. My favourite sweet things were the carrot cake (gorgeous) and the chocolate slice. The buttermilk scones were very tasty. Good choice of teas, I had Lapsang Souchong. They also did a great alternative for lactose intolerance. All in all, very enjoyable.

Red Lion
27 High St, SkiptonOrdered a steak (medium to well done) one side was burned to a cinder and the rest of the food was Luke warm. The greens looked like they had been kept in water and were soggy and limp! Ordered a coke and it was the end of the barrel. It had no taste at all. Took it back and he went to change the barrel.

The Woolly Sheep Inn
38 Sheep St, SkiptonNice pub in the centre of Skipton. Plenty of lagers and guest ales on draught to choose from. A very popular, busy pub nicely decorated and lovely old fashioned stone floors. Only issue we had when we visited was that our table was a little small and we were kinda sat in a walkway and felt a little in the way of things, especially with the fact that we had our dog with us. But the fact that it was difficult to find a table and chairs out of the way means at least the pub is busy and doing well right? Win, win! Too many pubs are closing so more power to their elbow if they're making a go of it.... ?? *And yes, it's a dog friendly pub! ? ✅️

We got our food and the steak and ale pie was one of the best I have ever tasted for a long while. You can tell it was homemade and that the chef cares about what they do.
I would recommend this place to everyone. And we will be making the Albion our go to place to eat and drink.

Yorkshire Rose
Town Centre, 10 Coach St, SkiptonWhat a brilliant place this is. We park4anight in Skipton car park and walked a few yards to the Yorkshire Rose our first stop, a very good selection of beers, and the bar man recommended a local one. We had two drinks the price and atmosphere were excellent. We didn't eat but will definitely try next time.
Parking: We have a campervan, so we parked in the designated areas and got a ticket for about £6 that lasted until 9 am the next day. There was plenty of parking for cars to
Kid-friendliness: The bar staff were very friendly and good recommendations on drinks.

The Tea Cottage
6 B6160, SkiptonWow, what a wonderful place to stop off for something to eat or drink. Just been on a long walk around the Abbey and stopped off for a bite and a drink. The room inside is beautifully decorated and very clean. There is plenty of seating inside and out. It's disabled access friendly, which I need (well done). It looks like the staff really cares about the place. The staff are very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, even though it was getting late and quiet so they were nearing closing. Good quality hot chocolate and latte, excellent panini's. I would highly recommend a visit. 5 star.

Caffè Nero
40-42 Sheep St, SkiptonA better example of a Neros with decent service and coffee / Barista skills evident. My soy cap was good and wife's Oat HC excellent. Just let down, as usual for this chain by the lack of ANY vegan savoury options, all week on our stay here there was nada. At Costa while don't like their coffee as much I had 3 vegan savoury choices including an excellent toastie. Not the fault of the fine Skipton Nero Branch I would guess but some more senior Muppet
Would return, unless I was hungry as because I can't eat meat / dairy these folk think it's fine to have NOTHING
Dietary restrictions: They advertise vegan dishes brilliantly, and also never stock them.

The Railway Skipton
10 Cavendish St, SkiptonThis really is a little treasure of a pub - mainly due to Carol and the team that run it. I haven't tried the evening food (my own fault for eating beforehand) but you can read the other reviews on that one. The thing for me that sets it apart is the warm hospitality. I was travelling on my own and it was quiz night that evening. I was quite happy to compete on my own but Carol found me a regular team to play with so I ended up having a great night and made some new friends. The bed was perfect and indeed the room facilities in general, and Carol even found somewhere for me to park my bike (no double entendre intended ?).I'll be back!

Two Sisters Bar & Kitchen
3A Mill Bridge, SkiptonWe found and picked this place based on other reviewers and we're not disappointed.
The building is full of character. From the traditional stone exterior, to the dark themed interior dotted with pictures and decorative mirrors. It felt unpretentious and welcoming.
The menus provide an interesting mix of dishes that combine different cultural cuisine, and good variety.
The food was delicious, with some lovely flavours. Portion sizes were reasonable and I'd say good value.
Service was generally good. Certainly friendly and welcoming, but the table hadn't been cleaned and nobody noticed we didn't have any cutlery (provided in a can).
Certainly worth a revisit next time we're in the area.
Vegetarian options: There's a few good options on the menu.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps on entry. Many of the tables on the ground floor are high tables. The toilets are also downstairs.
