My partner had avocado on toast with poached eggs, while I opted for halloumi and mushrooms on toast with poached eggs and hollandaise. Both meals were sublime, but the standout for me was the mushrooms—sautéed in garlic and thyme to absolute perfection. It’s definitely the way to go when cooking mushrooms! Every element of the dishes was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavour. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and effortlessly efficient. The setting is just as impressive as the food, with stunning views across the beach and out to the North Sea. The décor is stylish yet welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal by the coast. One Up is a real gem in Redcar, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for proper, high-quality food while at the seaside. We’ll definitely be back!

I gave in and got myself a ferraro cake for dessert. The fish and chips were excellent as usual and the cake was divine, my new favourite. Staff are always pleasant and polite. Definitely the place to go for fish and chips.

I was driving tonight so only had shandy but the wife had a few cocktails and said she really enjoyed them , very friendly/ happy staff , very clean place and nothing was too much for them. Food didn't take too long to come out . Will definitely be back to try something else

Ordered last Sunday. 10/10, save yourself the pain of shopping around and just order from here if you are looking for Chinese takeout.
I've moved around a lot in the past 5 years and it's a real struggle to find good Chinese take out. Every individual item has out done anywhere else I had tried. My expectations were low and yet I stumbled upon the best Chinese takeout I've had.
Depicted: Beef & Chicken chow mein, Beef in blackbean, and finally the £16 Special box of which I definitely recommend. Salt and Pepper chicken sounds boring but it's always one of the best items on a menu, + you can sauce it up with your choice of dip.
Final note for my next time, If the owner does read this: Is there a way to order chicken balls separately? I only saw them in the box deal but I'm not sure if they are under a different name elsewhere.

my meal was lovely the tables were a little low for eating on as we were seated on coffee tables and it is a little dated in the wacky warehouse side but still really enjoyed it and will deffo be back again :) oh and the staff were lovely very friendly and spoke to the kids about Halloween lovely experience

First I'll talk about the negatives, the place was pretty clean but the back walls had grease dripping down them, and mabye a tiny bit more expensive then some places. Now the kebab was grate probably the best I have had. The pizza was honestly generic I have had better but it dose the job no complaints. the large garlic dip was actually big like way to big buy that's good and it tasted grate. The chillie dip was generic nothing special. amazing cheesy chips agin probably some of the best I have had and regular chips where nice. the salad was nice aswell. The staff where cool very chill the cashier was a sound dude. over all 4.5 very very good.

We were SO impressed. Delicious, fresh, meaty fish wrapped up in beautifully crispy batter, and fantastic chips to boot. My fish and chips connoisseur children rated it "brilliant" and it just topped off our day perfectly. Lovely friendly service, too. Highly recommend.

5-8 The, Esplanade, RedcarGreat dessert spot, we usually go to Pacittos, but when we called there it felt like they were about to close and nothing in the cake fridge. We opted to try the newer Gabrielles and were not disappointed, Lovely ice-cream parlour, loads of choice, nice bright clean surroundings. Lovely staff in a nice uniform looking very smart. We all enjoyed what we had it was very reasonably priced. We'll be back and would definitely recommend ?

417 W Dyke Rd, RedcarVisited a couple of times while we were up on holiday in August from Bognor. When we first walked in we both looked at each other and said "What The Hell" as the band was on The Thunderbirds, they were in the middle of signing"Nana, Nana, Nana Batman". We bought a drink and the band were brilliant.
The staff were very friendly and also the customers. They all loved my wife's southern accent and we had a great time.
The band a few days later not so good "David Bowie".
Next time I'm up in North East I'll definitely be calling in.
We didn't eat there, but that's only because I didn't realise they do food. I know for next time.

129 Lord St, RedcarAsked Google sat nav to take us to the best fish and chip shop in Redcar. It’s a hidden gem of a place, on a corner overlooking the fishing boats all dry docked, rated 4.5 stars.
Welcomed by a lovely lady, who was about to close, but still put on four fish in the fryer and some fresh chips cooked in beef dripping.
Absolute pleasure and some of the finest fish n chips, far better than Wetherby Whaler.

Although their prices are a bit higher now, it costs £3 for a 99 now, you get a nice big cone and ice cream. The staff are really friendly, the atmosphere is great and I would highly recommend this place.
