Willow Beck
Finkills Way, NorthallertonWe had a very enjoyable evening. The staff were really friendly, attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. However I was disappointed with my main course food choice. I choose the Sirloin Steak, and as I don’t like chips I asked for a salad. The steak was tasty but I was disappointed with the salad, it consisted of a small handful of mixed leaves a tiny amount of cucumber and one cherry tomato cut in half. My dessert of chocolate brownie sundae was very nice. Everyone else appeared to enjoy their food choices though the fish batter looked very well done almost burnt. Overall we had a good experience and will return in the future.

185 High St, NorthallertonThis was a great outlet for lunch, located conveniently on the Northallerton high street! The counter is well laid out with all the available produce, staff were friendly and the frames have good images of the town's history. I had a tasty cheese and onion pasty, though it was too crumbly at the bottom and my coffee was nice however.

Cooplands
188 High St, NorthallertonI don’t do cheese, so when they are baking the cheese stuff the place is a no go area for me as the smell is over powering. But when they aren’t cooking them, this place is a gold mine of treats.Best Scottish bread rolls in England.Outstanding sausage rolls, great value. The mince (proper mince) pies are so tasty. But the highlight has to be a large bacon roll and fresh orange juice in the morning. The staff in Northallerton are great.Cooplands have got the winning combination of value and taste.

Black Bull Inn
Great Smeaton, NorthallertonFood and service were excellent, only downside to our visit was that a largish family group were put on to a table close to us, the children with the group were well behaved and respectful of others, the same could not be said of 3 of the adults who insisted on conversations as if they were at opposite ends of the pub instead of opposite sides of the table. We would have remained for dessert but couldn't put up with the shouts any longer. However we will be returning again, because obviously the noise was really not down to the pubs fault, just customers who have no regard for others.
