Main St, Shipton, Shipton by Beningbrough, YorkLandlord James has done a fantastic job of creating somewhere you will want to return to eat.
We dropped in without a reservation late Saturday night and tried the steak and ale pie (locally sourced from Haxby butchers) which was crammed with good quality meat and a lovely meaty gravy. Very good indeed!
Neck oil on tap along with some quality wines had us won over.
Along with the friendly, attentive service and welcome this is a winning pub.
We will definitely be back.
