We live in Manchester and in Ingleside for the weekend BUT we are planning to drive here on another Saturday just for the amazing food and atmosphere and staff. Highly recommend big time! Absolute gem!

The Old Sawmill Café
The Old Sawmill, Riverside, Clapham, LancasterWe enjoyed the tea cakes and soup of the day (pea, courgette and basil) and hot drinks. The staff are on the ball and friendly. We particularly like the beautiful location and the cosy atmosphere. Keeping the saw mill equipment in place makes for an immersive historical experience.

23 Main St, Ingleton, CarnforthWe popped in on the off chance there was an available table for two , there was . Our first time here and it didn’t disappoint . Husband has the meatball starter ( reminded us of having Aldondigas in Spain) I had bruschetta with tomatoes and although nice I’d rather have had sun dried tomatoes instead of fresh chopped. Lamb main and Clams for me . Very enjoyable . The only thing I missed was a lovely Italian coffee . Will we go again .Hell yes we sure will .

The Craven Heifer
Main St, Ingleton, CarnforthFab ? afternoon of Guinness ?, music and food. A visiting group of acoustic musicians ????? provided impromptu entertainment. The food (I had steak & ale pie with chips ??) was excellent, well priced and nicely presented. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Masons Freehouse
New Rd, Ingleton, CarnforthBroke down in the car outside this pub just over a week ago! These guys turned an extremely awful experience into a a fun start to our UK break! Not only did they help me get the car to a safe place they took us in, helped us with onward transport, fed our dog for us and kept us warm and comfortable until our transport arrived! The beer is excellent and the owners and staff could not be more helpful! Really wish we had stayed the night with them! Their attention to customer service is unbelievable! I thought places like this were lost to history but I’m delighted to say hospitality still exists in this country and it’s in this pub!

The three horseshoes
41 Main St, Ingleton, CarnforthMy partner and I had a spa stay with three course meal and breakfast.
The whole stay was excellent, good food, friendly staff, very clean, comfortable rooms and the spa was lovely.
We had a mud bath which was a fun experience.
This was the perfect place for a relaxed, romantic get away and we found the spa stay great value for money.
If we lived closer I'd definitely visit again.
