Nice tearoom. Though we chose it simply because it was closest to where we parked. We had just arrived in Hawes and were stressed because husband is ill. They are clearly very comitted to local producers, telling us where everything came from. Nice cheese scone and local butter and pickle. Will come back next time we are in Hawes and hopefully in a better frame of mind to appreciate everything

Noteworthy details: Traditional feel of old style tea rooms

I’ll admit to being a bit fussy about my fish and chips but these were great. Normally I don’t buy fish and chips if I can’t hear the sea so, to go here (which is about as far from the sea as you can get in England) was breaking my normal rule. So glad I did. Excellent. And the deep fried Wensleydale cheese was a new gastronomic experience - eat your heart out Grommit.

Very pleasant lunch at Caffe Curva.
Good range of choice and everything made fresh.
The sandwich I had was really good with homemade coronation chicken and a lovely side salad that was way better than the usual lettuce, cucumber, tomato stuff.
Good value for money too.
Reccommended.

Nice to have the option of something without chips. Portions were generous and the beers great. Really nice pub located in the beautiful village of Hawes.

Parking: Loads of free parking (after 6pm) a stone throws from the pub behind the public toilets. No need to squeeze into the main square.

What a breakfast! One of the best we've had on our caravan adventures ? Nice coffee too.
I didn't think the poppy music quite fit the setting, but otherwise we loved it! The "order and pay at the bar" system was nice too, no waiting around! Great place ?

We received a warm welcome here for lunch one rainy day in August. The menu is cheese heavy but delighted to find options for vegans too. The staff are very friendly and they and the delicious food made our visit memorable! Food came out quickly, hot and very tasty. We ate the rarebit with onion on top (pictured) and the vegan sriracha cauliflower dish. The salad garnishes were also delicious! Would highly recommend for an excellent meal in lovely surroundings.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are mostly cheese based (as you might expect) but vegans are also catered for

Was really pleased we chose the baytree kitchens. My husband had the seafood chowder I had the ploughman's both off the specials menu. My husbands chowder was full of seafood and fish with fresh bread it was only £10. He didn't want it to end. My ploughman's was really good quality ham and cheese with fresh bread that was only £9. The drinks are really reasonable as well If we lived nearer we would be regulars here All the food tha was coming out you could tell it was freshly prepared.

Had a relaxed afternoon tea in the cafe. Nice to sit by the road and watch the world go by. I hadn't realised how close it was to Hawes & folk had walked over from there. It's quite pretty - A film crew turned up nearby as we left.

Had the pleasure of dining at the Tine restaurant as we were staying in Hawes for the weekend. The staff were so pleasant and welcoming. The decor was very tasteful and classical and loved the baby grand in the middle of the restaurant. We opted for the 3 courses for £59 and were not disappointed. The wait for food was not long at all and was piping hot. Nice little touches with different glassware for water decanters, simple but very much a conversation starter. We were made to feel we had all the time in the world and not made to feel rushed at all. Such a pleasant experience and a little gem of a place hidden in the hillside and I’ll definitely be back for a stay over. Keep doing what you are doing…

Great Indian food. Cash only, and we struggled to find an up to date menu online (but will attach one from August 2024 to this review). Staff were friendly , food (for takeaway) was ready when promised and the food was great. Atmosphere in the restaurant is unusual - it looks like an old pub with whitewashed walls - but seemed clean and airy. A great meal at a fair price!

Parking: There's quite a lot of free parking in Hawes but when it gets busy can be full. There's an inexpensive pay and display slightly up the hill that's an easy walk to the restaurant though.
