G & Mo's
44 Main St, Bentham, LancasterWe had dinner at G and Mos last night and it was excellent! The food was beautiful. I had meat balls and Gail’s homemade cheese and onion pie my wife had a giant mushroom to start and was wowed by her fish main course.
The atmosphere was cosy and friendly, the waitress was superb.
Can’t wait to go back.

The Black Pig
26 Main St, Bentham, LancasterCalled this Sunday lunch time where we received a warm welcome.
French onion soup and mushroom soup were excellent.
The roast lamb was delicious, the carrots, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower, mash, roast potatoes and cabbage also tasted wonderful, as was the gravy.
We could only manage one of those delicious apple pie and custards between us.
A most hospitable establishment serving delicious value for money food, as usual we left being very content.

Coach House, Bentham
Main St, Bentham, LancasterI recently visited the Coachhouse for a meal and had the roast, which was absolutely delightful—flavoursome and well-cooked. Unfortunately, the chilli my partner ordered was a bit of a letdown, as it lacked any sauce and tasted quite dry, which was disappointing.
The atmosphere in the bar was a bit hit-or-miss. While we enjoyed the live music (a good rocky set for the evening), the overall vibe felt somewhat cliquey, and it seemed like the staff weren’t as welcoming to people who weren’t locals or regulars in the area.
Overall, the food had its ups and downs, and the service could be a bit more open and friendly to newcomers.

The Black Bull Hotel
13 Main St, Bentham, LancasterLocated right in the centre of High Bentham, this is a good pub to stop for a drink.
The lady behind the bar was really lovely and friendly.
Had to pay over £5 to pay on card which wasn't a problem for us, just something to note.
We played pool here one night which was fun. The table is small and the cues weren't the best but we didn't mind for 50p a game!
We ate lunch here one day and it was ok. I got the small plate scampi and fries. I think I got about 7 pieces of scampi but an absolute mountain of chips. It would have been nicer to have more scampi and less chips. My boyfriend got the tuna baguette which he enjoyed. That came with a few chunky chips which wasn't stated on the menu, but a nice surprise I guess.
All in all, not a bad little boozer.
Oh and the Guinness was spot on! ??

Hoggs N Heifers
Main St, Bentham, LancasterBrilliant, quirky pub. Great beer and lovely bar staff. We were staying in a nearby cottage for the weekend and this made for an excellent way to spend a couple of hours. If we lived nearer I'd be visiting this pub often!

Pizza @ 21
Main St, Bentham, LancasterJust passed through and grabbed a bite – surprisingly tasty pizza! In contrast to bigger cities, they've got a good handle on both cleanliness and flavor. Worth a stop in this spot!

Bentham Chippy
22 Main St, Bentham, LancasterWhat a great chippy. Everything is made fresh. The chips have a nice crisp texture with a fluffy inside. The fish is done to perfection. And to top it off the mushy peas are super. What a gem to have on our doorstep.

Little Fortune Chinese Takeaway
50 Main St, Bentham, LancasterNice Chinese takeaway is this. Friendly over the phone, picked it up and the girl behind the counter was nice and friendly, offered me prawn crackers - perfect. The food was good and just what we had ordered too, no complaints at all. They only accept cash just so you know.
