Fox & Hounds, Langthorpe
Skelton Rd, Langthorpe, Boroughbridge, YorkVisited for Sunday dinner with the family. The staff couldn’t do more for you. Really friendly greeting and pleasant conversations. They even gifted some extras to take home after we said how good the food is. Really recommend for a lovely roast on a Sunday. Thank you for an amazing visit

The Tiny Teapot
12 Fishergate, Boroughbridge, YorkLovely little courtyard cafe, with a small menu but wide variety of reasonably priced options. Cheese scone was delicious as was the bacon and avocado bagel. Friendly, helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

The Anchor Inn
The Anchor Inn, Leeming Ln, Langthorpe, YorkThe fish and chips here are as good as you will get ANYWHERE. The fish is a very good size and freshly cooked just as I like it. It retains its soft texture whilst still retaining its form (not at all easy to do) and the batter is to die for. Service and the friendliness of staff is unparalleled. Unlike a great many well-known 'chippies' the chips here are obviously freshly cooked and to perfection. If you order the large fish, you will need a very, very good appetite Plenty of tartar source supplied..+++ I'll be back again very soon (with friends!). This review also applies to the last three times I have had fish and chips here in the last 3 months. 5 star *****

The Oak Tree Inn
Raskelf Rd, Helperby, YorkEnjoyed a lovely Sunday roast we were staying in the area for the weekend. From the moment we stepped through the door after being given a very warm welcome. My son & daughter in law and myself and our 3 dogs were made to feel welcome. The dogs were offered dog beds (the comfiest looking dog beds) so happy dogs. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious we all had starters and a roast dinner. The food was very well presented and freshly cooked. Clean plates all round. Definitely worth a visit. We also called in the day before after walking the dogs and sat outside with our drinks. Again all the staff were fantastic. It was a very pleasant visit and so nice to experience such top notch service. Well done everyone and thank you for a wonderful meal.

Blue Bell Inn
Kirby Hill, YorkJust been for a fabulous Sunday roast , fabulous..! Choice of beef, pork or chicken , we had the beef and pork, both were beautiful. HUGE Yorkshire puddings, either a roast served inside one which was perfect for 1 of our party with a HUGE appetite...or alongside the main dish. Generous portions of tasty cauliflower cheese and fresh vegetables. Also we had extra hot gravy to finish the meal off. We've never been before but we will definitely go back, the service was so lovely too, a young lady ( Grace ) and gentleman ( so sorry, I didn't quite catch his name !) served us with a friendly attitude the whole meal, they're a credit to your team. We managed a dessert too...( I know , Shame on us..!! ) but again they were delicious too. Thank you, we had a gorgeous lunch and now need to sleep it off..!

Gilchrist's Bakery & Cafe
39 High St, Boroughbridge, YorkWe sat in the garden but was really more of a takeaway system ie order food and take it out yourself. Flat white very disappointing, definitely overpriced. Cake fine.
