The Globe Inn
The Buttlands, Wells-next-the-SeaWe came before in the summer with friends and sat outside as the weather was beautiful. This time I booked a table inside
Our server was amazing she was so friendly and helpful. We ordered 3 roast beef dinners, which were amazing. My friend is gluten free and was impressed with the choice of meals available. She did mention that it would be great if you did gluten free Yorkshire pudding as she felt that would have been perfect.
We order 2 rice pudding desserts and a sticky toffee pudding. Omg the rice pudding was stunning, the textures and flavors went so well together. My husband loved his sticky toffee too, but he tried the rice pudding and agreed it was delicious.
Again, our server was so lovely, she found out for me what the crunchy topping was on the rice puddings
We were very impressed and will definitely be back.
It was great to see that you are very dog friendly too, as we are getting a puppy soon and now know somewhere the can come for dinner with her ( once trained??)
Thank you *****

Fenspirits Larder
16 Freeman St, Wells-next-the-SeaDon’t forget to pop over the road to Whin Hill across the road; they collaborated on their Apple Spirit. Nice to see when local craftspeople collaborate. All the best! I will enjoy the Navy Strength gin back in Tokyo and remember Norfolk.

The Picnic Hut
73 Staithe St, Wells-next-the-SeaThe Picnic Hut, Wells-Next-Sea has a sign outside saying “Probably the best Crab Sandwiches In Norfolk” - WRONG, they are DEFINITELY THE BEST CRAB SANDWICHES IN NORFOLK. Choice of bread (Wholemeal with crab?) and generous brown crab as a base with just as generous white crab above, so tasty and fresh. Washed down with an Orio milkshake. We can also recommend the sausage &/or bacon rolls too from a previous visit. Friendly staff too and literally two minutes walk to the harbour.

Stiffkey Red Lion
44 Wells Rd, Stiffkey, Wells-next-the-SeaLocated on the main road through Stiffkey. Narrow entrance to car park behind pub, which was pretty full each time visited. Traditional pub which has a number of rooms. Good choice of beers. Friendly staff, though short-handed on the second visit. Menus changed regularly. Food good. Best to reserve seating.

Fortune House
281 Wootton Rd, King's LynnWe live almost 10 miles away from this Chinese and therefore we have at least four or five other Chinese restaurants and takeaways in closer proximity to home. However, fortune house trumps the lot. Myself or my wife are more than happy to drive the extra distance for good food. The service is always very friendly. The food is excellent and their portions are generous. ( I’m 60 and have experienced quite a number of Chinese takeaways in my time) and Fortune House are up there with the best of them.G&T

Sands Restaurant
Sands Restaurant, 13 The Quay, Wells-next-the-SeaVisited a couple of times lthis summer and was very impressed. Good service, great food, (e.g. pan fried Skate wing or Whole Plaice can be available on the daily specials board), and a great elevated view of the harbour and beyond if you book a window seat. I can thoroughly recommend this place (no pun intended!) if you want a really nice meal, away from the lunch time crowds on the harbour. (N.B. It is easy to miss the single doorway entrance leading to the restaurant.

Plattens
12A The Quay, Wells-next-the-SeaWas very busy at lunch time, so was promising that it was going to be good - and it was very good!
My partner had battered sausage and chips, I had cod and chips, plus mushy peas, curry sauce and a gherkin with two cans of pop.
Overall the food was top notch - the only gripes was the price, just over £40 for the above! Plus as it is quite open, it was extremely draughty.
