Suffield Arms

Headed here after a walk around Blickling Hall with the dog. I had fairly low expectations as I'm not a huge tapas fan and found the food at the Gunton Arms to be a bit underwhelming. Still, my friends wanted to go so we did.

Have to say, I needn't have worried. Portion sizes were very good, particularly the pasta which was described as "smaller than a main" but was definitely big enough for a main. Focaccia, corn and calamari all top draw. Service was very friendly both at the bar and in the restaurant and they were able to bring our reservation forward an hour.

Overall cost of £30ish a head plus service is not at all bad for the food we had and the quality.

My big complaint, as at the Gunton, is that I absolutely don't share the artistic sensibilities of the owner. I guess if it's your pub you can fill it with whatever art you want but at the Gunton we had to eat our meal staring at shagging dinosaurs and here I had to endure pornography in the toilets on a Sunday afternoon. Not a fan really.
