We’ve just eaten here for the second time in two nights as we are staying in the hotel opposite. We’ve had two great meals there of excellent value. The restaurant is exceptionally clean and well maintained and the carvery is kept fresh and hot. All of the vegetables are fresh rather than the frozen kind you get elsewhere. It was very busy, none of the staff were wearing masks. The food was ok good selection of nests and vegetables. However the vegetables could have been hotter. I do resent paying a higher price for a Sunday carvery, I always feel I am being taken advantage of just because it is Sunday and places know they will be busy

Recently taken over, but the quality of food and service has not been affected. Went late afternoon and it was very quiet. Met a friend who had the Carvery, I had Scampi and triple cooked chips. Scampi was moist and tasty and served with an ample portion of tartare. The carvery was also really enjoyed too. Plenty of parking available although moving the Disabled Spaces closer to the entrance. Friendly, helpful staff.
