The Mulberry Restaurant
Heacham Manor Hotel, Hunstanton Rd, Heacham, Heacham, Nr HunstantonVisited on three successive nights, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Nice looking restaurant with good ambience. Ate at three separate tables, a large one which was stable and two smaller ones that moved. Friday meal was excellent, and service good. Saturday meal was OK, but service slower. Sunday meal adequate, but nothing to write home about, and the service was very slow. The restaurant was much busier on Saturday than Friday, and slightly busier on Sunday compared to Saturday. My take was that they had insufficient staff, who did their best, but struggled when the restaurant got busy.

Drove Orchards, Thornham Rd, HunstantonVery traditional fish and chips, prepared while you wait, so very fresh. The batter was crispy, but light and airy. Very grateful for the gluten-free option.
There was outdoor seating with a children's play place, as well as indoor dining and takeaway.

4 Le Strange Terrace, HunstantonMy work colleagues and I had food from here tonight and it was first class. Tasted amazing and will definitely be ordering from here again. I recommend the mix kebab was delicious.

Sea Ln, HunstantonVisited NYE 2024 for the first time and cannot believe I've not discovered this cafe before! It was packed but was served quickly, food was very good, a lovely hot coffee, dog friendly and a great atmosphere. Will now be my go to for 2025 x

S Beach Rd, HunstantonGood food, friendly and attentive waitress. Prices are very fair, considering today’s rising costs in absolutely everything!
My only constructive criticism would be that the toasties could perhaps do with slightly longer on the grill, as the cheese was partially melted in quite a few places which gives a funny texture in the mouth.
Also, may be worth leaving condiments such as ketchup on the table, rather than bringing over a tiny portion in what looks like a shot glass?

28 Le Strange Terrace, HunstantonFabulous little shop. The perfect independant that treats its customers and their pets with a smile. A slice of cake and a cup of coffee after a walk around time and the front, before the journey home. Certainly recommend the carrot and chocolate cake and cheaper than the big names.

10 The Grn, HunstantonTook family out for breakfast, was surprised that there were only a few places open early - we opted for Beccas kitchen. For me, a quick decision, full English! Kids and wife takes longer to decide, thankfully Beccas kitchen allowed the kids just to pick what they wanted as extras so they could have exactly what they were after. It's not massive inside, but was comfortable with a few tables available. It was about half full the whole time we were there. Food was nice and cooked well. If I was being picky, the tables were a bit stained from use in places (Not badly, just to the point where I noticed it!) If you can get one of the tables near the window then you can watch the world go round - as well as a view over the green and sea!

28-30 Greevegate, HunstantonI've tried mostly all of the Fish and Chip.shops in Hunny, this place is by far the best fish and chips in Hunstanton. They also cook everything in beef dripping, like the good old days. The batter on the fish was just perfect, crispy and melting in your mouth. The chips was freshly made and just perfect and delicious. The staff was very friendly and the owner was there too and was hands on, keeping an eye on things, which is a good sign. The portions are massive, if you are not a big eater, you can easily share a portion of fish and chips.

18 High St, HunstantonWonderful bakery. Everything is fresh, delicious and cheap. £2 fresh baguette sandwiches. 50p gingerbread man. Bag of sausage rolls for £1. Ignore the reviews talking about poor customer service: I've never had a problem. If you demand your goods without a 'please' and complain about it being cash only, don't complain about getting service without a smile. If you say good morning and treat the baker with respect she will repay you in kind. Excellent value for money and fresh goods, what's not to love? Thank you for running an old-fashioned homely bakery in this modern times.

The Orange Tree, Thornham - Dining Pub & Rooms
High St, Thornham, HunstantonIgnored the negative reviews and went for dinner on a Thursday evening. The welcome and service was excellent, with our server being perfectly attentive, and happy to answer any of our questions. Our meal was delicious and the price was, we felt, very good value. We have been regular visitors to North Norfolk for 20+ years but this was the first time we have been to The Orange Tree. Will be looking to return in future.
