Food was delicious, Fish pie for me and Moroccan chicken skewers for the wife.

The Moorings
High St, Blakeney, HoltWe had dinner last night at The Moorings and it was absolutely delicious! We both had the cuttlefish to start, followed by sea bass and monkfish and my husband had the ginger cake with toffee sauce. All excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning!

22 Albert St, Holt10/10 service and food last night. We walked in 10 minutes before closing time and asked if we were too late, welcomed in with no hesitation and all food cooked from fresh! absolutely brilliant, would 100% use again and recommend!

High St, Cley Next the Sea, HoltWe went for a late breakfast and found that the restaurant was warm and welcoming with very good quality food at reasonable prices. Dog friendly inside and out. A number of tables outside in the courtyard. I would recommend a visit. They now do breakfast, Lunch and dinner!!

Dun Cow Salthouse
Purdy St, Salthouse, HoltWent for our anniversary lunch here and glad we did. Fish and chrizo stew with sourdough and the best alioli I've eaten. My husband had the swordfish steak which was perfectly cooked. To follow had to be sticky toffee pudding...will definitely be returning to try out more of there menu.

The Pheasant Hotel
Coast Rd, HoltCame for dinner, booked in advance. Several areas to dine including one which is dog friendly. Told it was busy when seated and service was slower than expected. Menu was good and staff updated with specials etc. Three course meal took 3 hours with long gaps between likely to staff shortages but no one updated us. Two couples got seated after us and we saw their tables cleared and packed up for the night before we were offered desert. Apart from that it is a great location, the grounds are well maintained and the restaurant is decorated to a high standard. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Will try again in the future.

7-8 Chapel Yard, HoltLovely quaint coffee shop. Welcomed and had table cleaned for us upon entry. Food looked amazing. Didn’t eat as had just had lunch. But would have had a bite to eat if was hungry as was very tempting to indulge in some more food lol. Flat white was beautiful looking as well as tasted like a real flat white should. I don’t come to holt a great deal. But when I’m next here. First stop will definitely be here. And trying out the sausage roll I could see while enjoying my flat white.

Serving incredible Italian-style sandwiches all made with their own schiacciata bread.
Small ground floor but with ample seating upstairs too.
Excellent selection of coffee, tea, beer and wine too.
Dog friendly and a huge pot of Doggy-treats to spoil our boy.

Hetty's House Tea Room
Country Park, Norwich Rd, HoltHetties' is a hidden gem. Located in a corner of Holt County Park, it has a following of daily dog walkers, visitors to the country park and those who return time and again!
The food is simple, freshly (and well) prepared, tasty and very reasonably priced. We had lunch (fresh bacon baps etc), stayed for afternoon tea (scone, cream, jam, tea) in the sun, among the trees and were joined by the resident robin. It was a life affirming experience! Try it. You'll be glad you did.

The Retreat Cabins B&B
Bridge House Bridge Road, High Kelling, HoltWe have just returned from our second stay in the Cosy Cabin, in early October, 2024. Jacqui and Matt are lovely hosts with great knowlege of the local area. Having a hot breakfast brought to the cabin, is a real treat. The cabin is lovely and quiet, surprisingly warm, and the bed is very comfortable. The many windows mean it is very light. The small fridge is a great addition and means that you can have real milk in a hot drink. The garden is beautiful, and a lovely place to sit and have coffee to start the day. The busy town of Holt is not far away. Plenty of places to eat in the evening. Booking in advance is a good idea. We can't wait to come back to this beautiful part of the world. Being able to see the Milky Way from the garden is a definite bonus.

The George and Dragon, Cley
High St, Holt2nd visit, and 1st stay. We are in the coach house, it's superb. Dinner in the pub, and made to feel welcome with our dog. Cley is a really pretty village, and a great location.
Rooms: Coach house is fantastic, I'd literally live here
Nearby activities: Wells, Cromer, beach walks and restaurants
Food and drinks: The George and dragon food is very good, but you feel like you're in a old fashioned friendly pub, they have the perfect vibe

Unit 4 Hoppers Yard, Bull Street, HoltLovely place to have lunch or just a drink. Staff were friendly but only one vegan option. Our daughter has a dairy intolerance and the waitress didn’t know what to offer us other than one item, coffee cake.
Other than that everything was lovely.

Lovely unusual gift shop and clothes shop with small cafe, tiny indoor seating area, outside covered sitting area and up some steps to views of the breathtaking reed beds and Cley houses together with seating with a stunning view!!!
Delicious hot choc, sandwiches and yummy cake.

I understand that the restaurant is closing slowly due to lack of demand - whilst appreciated that the footfall in Holt is low but if they lowered the prices, I suspect that they will find more customers. Especially as there are no other Pizzarias closeby.

Wiveton, Hall, HoltWhat a hidden gem of a place it should be better advertised so it attracts more custom ,excellent service and quality products at sensible prices.
The ginger sponge wash moorish and the coffee was good too.
Beautiful surroundings and lovely open space with tables and chairs outside.
The Washroom was very clean and tidy and didn’t smell .
We will be back here again at some time that’s for sure

The Kings Head
19 High St, HoltWe had a 2 night break in Room 2 which was fabulous. Such a comfy bed and everything so cosy. Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom and the small kitchen where we could cook if we wanted. Would definitely stay there again. Breakfast at Byfords is absolutely delicious and worth the short walk.

31 Bull St, HoltYou all know what it is like you set your heart on a Indian and you pick a restaurant but before you order you look at the reviews which are average to poor ( although some good) but you still go ahead and on this occasion I am so pleased I did. Best Madras takeaway I have had for years lovely garlic naan and lovely fluffy rice and a lovely price.Thankyou Taste of India.
