What a treat!

The taster menu brought plates and plates of beautifully smoked, delicious, fall-apart meats. Bbq sauce wonderfully mixed and the slaw and gravy accompanied everything perfectly.

Beautifully baked sourdough, delightfully crisp French fries and a bowl of dreamy mac n cheese made this a truly special birthday combo.

Genuinely felt like a feudal lord picking at all the plates, cracking jokes and slapping my thigh in between hearty swigs of Pepsi.

The staff were all kind, considerate and welcoming - like family welcoming you over for dinner - and a little park at the back gave us a peaceful place to sit afterwards awhile and let all that lovely lunch go down whilst enjoying the surrounding calm of Hevinghams fields.

Kid-friendliness: Play park at the back away from the pub and the car park a little but close enough to keep an ear out!
