Sculthorpe Aviator, 9 The St, Sculthorpe, FakenhamWe arrived around half past 7 for our booked table, we were greeted by a friendly young lady who said that due to staff illnesses there was only one chef in the kitchen and there had been two large tables orders put into the kitchen, so warned us there may be a delay. We took our seats and ordered drinks, knowing they were pushed, we relaxed and didn’t worry too much, although the server came over and took our food order as soon as she was free. I ordered the Aviator burger and my partner ordered the Halloumi burger, minus the mushroom. We decided to mull over our day, so when our food arrived, it was somewhat of a surprise! It was well worth the wait too, my burger was tasty well cooked and the bacon jam was a lovely addition. The Halloumi burger was just as tasty. We didn’t take long to eat them as we were hungry. After we’d finished and our plates were cleared we were offered the dessert menu, which we both chose from, I had the sticky toffee pudding and my partner had the brownie. Both were well presented and the accompaniments were perfect. The food was excellent and the service was exemplary, given they were short staffed the team did very very well.

25 Bridge St, FakenhamAs a vegetarian, I only buy pizza from here, and I have never been disappointed with any of the food I have had over the past few years. The veggie pizzas are very tasty and have plenty of toppings and the cabbage salad is truly excellent, so crunchy and great flavour. Not sure why it's pink, but it's great eating. The staff have always been friendly, so the whole experience is a good one. Well done for keeping the standards so high over the past few years!

We felt that you went above and beyond to make sure that we got the delivery and the food was very tasty with HUGE portion sizes! It arrived piping hot (even though was delivered!) and it was a very speedy process from ordering to arriving. The delivery person was very friendly too and very impressive that they found the lodge in the darkness!!!! Thanks for being so accommodating and for such delicious food. Very grateful.

2A Miller's Walk, FakenhamLove this branch of Subway. All the staff are so nice here, really helpful. They make much nicer subs than others I have visited. They always serve with a smile and are accommodating if you want extra of any type of salad. Service tends to be reasonably quick here too. I was also told about the app and loyalty scheme which was great as I'm always scoffing a Subway, now I'll be able to get some free ones too ?

The food was amazing. Chunky bamboo pieces, soft beef, tasty egg fried rice.
The prawn sweet chilli starter was awesome.
We had drinks while we waited for our food.

Personally this doesn't bother me as I've always said about any takeout if it's well cooked and hot what does it matter. Never had a bad experience from here like some of the others in fakenham.

Holt Rd, Thursford, FakenhamFirst visit at the Crawfish Inn, certainly won’t be the last. Fabulous takeaway meal, very good portion size, piping hot and very fresh just cooked taste. Very friendly helpful staff.
Recommend spare ribs, egg fried rice with prawns and crab, pad Thai with k/prawns and duck, cod pieces in batter swt chilli sauce, all delicious.

13 George Edwards Rd, FakenhamWe stopped on the way to the coast for a bit of breakfast at Dixie's Kitchen in Fakenham. The food was good and hot and plentiful and the cook made us some fried bread too which was nice, even though it wasn't on the menu. The staff were helpful and polite. The food was freshly cooked so we waited about 15 minutes. The only downside to Dixie's Kitchen is that it is a converted factory so lacks a bit of charm, but, if you like a traditional cafe feel, or you like the brutalist style of decor with huge plate glass windows overlooking the car park then this is the place for you.

Wells Rd, Burnham Overy Town, King's LynnFantastic weekend stay in this beautiful house. Personally loved the “self service” feel as made it so much more relaxing than having staff buzzing around all the time & made it feel like home for the weekend. Honesty bar was well stocked with some great wine & spirits on offer. Jonny was a great host when we dined in the restaurant, food was delicious so throughly recommended. Everything was perfect - would give 6 stars if possible!

Barsham Brewery
Estate Office, West Barsham, FakenhamMy first experience with the Barsham Brewery Ales was a few weeks back when I visited The Hoste Arms in Burnham Market. All the real ales were from the Barsham Brewery, but fortunately for me as a Coeliac they were all Gluten Free. The flavours are as good as I used to remember years ago when I was able to drink any ales. I have just been to the brewery and purchased my first beers and chose Stout Robin,the Norfolk Dark Stout and another one called Oaks which is a reddish bitter. I was served by Hamish who was so full of enthusiasm for his beer that as an ex publican that had the opportunity to start his own brewery business a few years back I almost envied him . Any real ale drinker who has not tried there ales will definitely not be disappointed when they do. Good luck to everyone concerned with the running of the Barsham Brewery. The Awards will soon be heading your way.
