15b Market Hill, DissI didn't think it was possible to feel wistful for a restaurant but here we are - our meal was wonderful and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. As someone who doesn't eat cheese it can sometimes be awkward ordering with the changes I ask for but our waiter was so lovely and made everything incredibly easy. Everyone loved their pizzas. Thank you for the great night!
Dietary restrictions: You can make whatever changes you need with no problem whatsoever!

Fairgreen Fish Bar
37 Denmark St, Fair Green, DissBeen there from time to time over the last few years and it seems to me that it doesn't really change...... Always good fish and chips.
Plus, you can grab a table on Fair Green to eat - and a pint from the pub to wash them down, and what could be better than that !

Church St, DissFirst time I’ve used Indian View take away in Diss following a recommendation from a friend , food was fabulous , they even gave us a few extras fix including a veg curry dish, highly recommend , food is great

Mr Chips Diss
16 Market Pl, DissOur usual chippy was closed so decided to try Mr Chips. Honestly some of the best we’ve had in a long time, hot, not at all greasy and delicious. Will be back without a doubt

Dolphin House, Market Pl, DissFirst time in Diss,so didn't know where to go for a Indian restaurant,but was recommended this place by the receptionist at our hotel,.Oh my days,what a gem of place,food amazing(and plenty of it), service fantastic, ambience just right??Everything we ate tasted out of this world,and suffice to say,we ate everything ??,We will definitely be returning??

1066 At The Chequers, Low Rd, DissWonderful afternoon tea..very tasty cakes and delicious sandwiches..a pot of good strong tea too. Very thoughtful attentive lady host...lovely decor and relaxed atmosphere. We will definately return...one of the best!

Thatchers Needle
33 Park Rd, DissHadn’t been here for a while but decided to pop in for a quick bite to eat as I had been told there was a new chef. We were all very impressed with the standard of food and will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff that looked after us.

The Crown Inn
Chapel Ln, Great Glemham, SaxmundhamBrilliant all round! We walked here from nearby village and stopped for lunch. Fantastic food which arrived quickly despite busy weekend crowd, lovely atmosphere (we sat outside in the calm and cosy garden), service was friendly and efficient — and must give an extra special mention to the owners for going above and beyond to help us find a way home when it started to rain…! Many thanks again and we’ll be back soon.
Vegetarian options: Separate vegetarian/vegan menu available with full range of options, well thought through and clearly labelled — fab!
Dietary restrictions: Menu has options for all diets, allergens etc are really clearly labelled — great all round.

The Crown Inn - Gissing
Lower St, Gissing, DissAfter visiting friends who live in this beautiful part of Norfolk we decided to stop at The Crown to have a quick drink before continuing our long journey home. The staff and locals were very welcoming and the variety of beers and ciders on offer were of great quality and reasonably priced. I was very impressed with the location and atmosphere of the village and yes I will definitely visit The Crown again.

Norfolk House Courtyard, St Nicholas St, DissNeither my partner nor I are vegetarians, but we love the food, the decor, and ambience at Amandines. The service is good and always given with a smile. The printed menus have remained the same for some time and are in need of reprinting, but there is a special's board to choose from in addition. We love it!

63 Denmark St, Fair Green, DissGreat pub with excellent staff friendly locals and in a great location with a large green opposite, Welcomed our Husky after his walk on the green , had a live band in the evening unfortunately a little to late for our visit . Will definitely return when visiting Diss again in the future.

My only criticism, and the reason I’ve only given it 4 stars for atmosphere, is that they have the front door to the cafe open, which even on a sunny autumn morning made it quite chilly inside. Don’t let that put you off though as the food and service more than made up for it. Would I go again? Definitely yes ??

Station Rd, Pulham Saint Mary, DissExcellent! Friendly service, tasty food, reasonably priced all in a lovely, very original setting. A wonderful multi-use building in the centre of the village. This setup should be inspiration for other villages across the region and country as proof that it can be done - and done very well!

I had a roast chicken salad, which was so freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. The coffee was lovely too.
The other food that was ordered (both baguettes) were also freshly prepared, generously filled and with lovely presentation.
It's a modest looking place from the outside, but the food was fantastic and the service was great.
There is a free public car park at the rear of the cafe which we also used and had no trouble parking in.

The food was spot on. It was cooked fresh there and then, obviously, you have to wait for that to happen, but it's worth it.
If I'm passing again, then I'll definitely pop in for more.
