The Green, DerehamAt last we've found a pub that's open on a Monday for drink and even better, for food! We saw some whale and chips being delivered to tables around us but had the breads in oil starter-incredible.. Then the pork and venison sausage main with colcannon mash potatoes and greens- simply the best sausage and mash ever. We were stuffed by this point but couldn't leave without trying the cheese and biscuits, which was plenty for 2. Lovely lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff too! Top marks for a Monday guys for keeping a lovely dark ale too! Perrrrrrfect

12 Church St, DerehamWhat can I say! Another little goldmine I've found on my travels. Lovely people and absolutely stunning food! Pizza of dreams (literally) and Lamb Shish that 'literally' melts in your mouth. Most places (with Lamb) have lots of fat on it and by the time you get it home it's gone hard and is really chewy, not this place. By the time I got home I was worried it would be the same as other places and it was not! It was still as soft as it was when it came off the grill. It tore apart effortlessly and melted in the mouth. Just beautiful. I will definitely be going back each night I'm working here, in lovely Dereham!

As for the food, it was outstanding! I tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma, and Coconut Rice, and every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the portions were generous. The Chicken Tikka Masala was particularly exceptional, a must-try for anyone visiting.
Overall, if you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine with great service, I highly recommend Spice Fusion. I will definitely be coming back!

8, 8 Nelson Place, DerehamMy husband and I were in Costa this morning and the young man serving, called Matty was on his own due to staff members not being able to get to work on time. He had been on his own since opening and was coping amazingly as the store was really busy with customers. He was very professional, courteous and handling the situation so well...He is a huge asset to the Dereham store and deserves huge recognition for coping under huge pressure by himself. Well done Matty you are a star.?

My only reason for 3 stars for service was because they perhaps could have done with more staff for the volume of business at peak lunchtime, meaning slower service and longer wait times, having a knock on effect with dinner plates not being cleared before desert was brought out, leaving dirty dinner plates and empty finished cups on the table during desert was in my opinion sloppy service

Rash's Green, DerehamSuperb, as always! We've been a few times now, to Rashers. There's a good range of food, but my personal favourite would have to be the Mega Burger. Two deliciously juicy burgers, with a melty cheese slice between, thick and tasty rashers, topped with a beautifully fried egg, cooked to perfection with a rich and oozy yolk melting into the layers below, all brought together with the flavour of slightly punchy fried onions. It all combines for a taste sensation you'll be sure to go back for! Fast service with a smile at a great price.

Unit 2 The Old Eagle, Market Pl, DerehamDisappointing . Went in for lunch, had to wait quite a time for food to arrive, but biggest issue was waiting over 10 minutes for table to be cleared, while staff did everything but clear our table. Cafe wasn't that busy and enough staff.
In the end we gave up on ordering cakes and left, so they lost the extra income.

25 High St, DerehamRecently moved into area came in for meal. Very friendly staff he makes you feel welcome and great service and we really enjoyed our meal the gammon was perfect away i like it and wife enjoyed hers. We will definitely be back again for a drink and meal.

28 Norwich St, DerehamWas really pleased to see the Cock had re-opened and headed there on Saturday night. The place was really busy with a great atmosphere which was great to see. Has kept the same 'proper' pub feel which is missing from so many places now. The only negative for our visit was the beer wasn't chilled enough which didn't make for a great pint. Overall a great place if the beer was chilled more it would be a 5* review.

The atmosphere was calm but very welcoming and my party and I commented on the warm reception and prompt service immediately.
The food, my goodness, was bloody excellent. We had the starters platter, Pad Thai, Drunken Rum Beef and a chef's special scallops and prawn dish which were all packed with flavour and cooked with ingredients which were clearly fresh and flavourful.
People of Norfolk, don't sleep on this place and give it the recognition it clearly deserves! We will be back very soon!

Greenbanks Hotel
Main Road, Great Fransham, DerehamI Stayed here for a model railway exhibition in Dereham and it was a lovely hotel I arrived quite late and was greeted with the lovely owner who then made us some food which was AMAZING. He gave us some food for breakfast in the morning as we were going to miss it. He then showed us to our amazing room which was exceptionally clean and our beds were very comfy.
Overall This is a amazing hotel and should have 5 stars
