The Saracens Head
Wolterton, Wall Rd, Near ErpinghamFabulous old Georgian pub/hotel renovated in a traditional style which I much prefer to the ultra modern but empheral refurbs of so many hotels in Old buildings .
The staff were very friendly and helpful , and the meals we had were the best on our Norfolk tour. A bit pricey, but well worth it.
Although it is the middle of nowhere , the hotel was completely full, and I enjoyed the isolation . Going for a walk in the pitch black night (no street lights here!) was really atmospheric , with the creatures of the night doing their thing . The animals just over the wall in the nearby Wolterton Estate were also hugely entertaining .
Highly recommended.

Biddy's Kitchen
16 Market Pl, Aylsham, NorwichWent for afternoon tea. The food was fresh & tasted lovely.
A little disappointed, however, with the service, as we were kind of left to it & weren't offered any drink top ups or indeed if there was anything else we'd like.
Also, I had a voucher for afternoon tea for 2 & was a little surprised to be charged extra as I'm guessing there had been a price increase since the voucher had been purchased.
