Homebrew Tap Oxton
58 Christchurch Rd, Oxton, Birkenhead, PrentonLovely place. Efficient and friendly bar staff. The atmosphere on entering is welcoming as you can tell everyone is having a lovely time. My partner tried one of the beers from the tap and enjoyed it, so we can add the Homebrew Tap to our nights out in and around Oxton.

38 Claughton Firs, Oxton, Birkenhead, PrentonPopped into this cozy establishment for the first time the other week with the missus and was rather surprised by the varied & vegetarian friendly menu! The chicken & mango tacos & nachos sharer were the stars of the show here, very good quality grub for a pub chain I must say! Also loved the decor & atmosphere, it instantly felt very homely! We'll be back in again to try the pulled mushroom chilli! Cheers for having us folks!

Mayflower Chinese Takeaway
9 Claughton Firs, Oxton, Birkenhead, PrentonWent on Friday for the first time after the good reviews and we weren't disappointed. We ordered Char Siu Cantonese, Special Curry, Triple Crown and Chicken with bamboo and water chestnuts with a mix of fried rice and chips and everything was gorgeous!

Service was great and quick. Food arrived in good time and was really tasty. Cocktails and corona on tap. Will definitely be back.

The food is superb and wouldn't go anywhere else for Indian takeaway, think we have gone through whole menu! Always comes hot, plentiful and the staff in the shop and delivery guys are always polite We always have leftovers and think it's a good price for what you get. Would wholly recommend

2 Claughton Firs, Oxton, Village, Birkenhead, PrentonGood quality cooking across a.menu with sufficient range for everyone and servers.coped.well with a group of nine. We only had the main courses but everyone was delighted with the quality and a healthy quantity too.
Parking: There is a parking lot on site - rare in Oxton Village - but it only has about 12 spaces so I imagine it could easily fill on a busy lunch/evening.

15 Rose Mount, Oxton, Birkenhead, PrentonFirst time ever going to this chip shop I've only wanted to try it because its always busy when family have gone past anyway finally tried it out and got mixed noodles and beansprouts and small chips tonight being totally honest I wasn't fussed on the chips as they were just warm and really mushy not liked by me but the mixed tub of noodles and the beansprouts with the onion mixed together was very very nice and I would happily get them again they wasn't just really nice but the amount you get for only 3 pounds is value for money and quantity is more than enough to share with others not everyone will enjoy the same foods and I was a bit put off by the bad reviews off others but I tried some of the stuff I like and it was hit and miss wouldn't get the chips again but the noodles and beansprouts are a definite what am trying to say is try it out for ur self and don't let the reviews of other people put u off like me you may like items that others don't everyone is different and everyone cooks food different as other takeaways hope you try it out and enjoy it

I went for the prawn curry with rice which was tasty and the portions were large.
Yes,it's slightly more expensive than many places but not as bad as the reviews make out!
