3A Dingle Rd, Up Holland, Skelmersdalelovely place to meet up for a catch up with friends and really nice food. A bit disappointed today with the service. Two young ladies constantly chatting amongst themselves never approached our table to ask what we would like re drink or food. Normally the older lady who has usually been there was on a day off and first thing would have greeted us and got us drinks. Not today ! After quite a while my friends had to approach the ladies and ask if we could have drinks and order food. Maybe this was a one off. I hope so.

7 Church St, Up Holland, SkelmersdaleMy favourite spot! Stunning location. Staff/volunteers always extremely friendly and helpful. Coffee is the most affordable I can find! Plus very tasty with selection of syrups and dairy free milk available. Local crisps are delicious too. Perfect relaxation spot and I often catch up with my emails in the calm breathtaking surroundings of rich history. Thanks so much everyone!Dietary restrictions: Dairy free

Rigbye Arms
2 Whittle Ln, Wrightington, Parbold, WiganOur first visit here after many years, and was delighted to see, that although it has been refurbished, it still retains its traditional charm. Sunday lunch was excellent, my sticky chicken starter was one of the best I have had for a long time. We shall not leave it as long before we return again.

Wrightington Hotel, Moss Ln, Wrightington, WiganMy favourite restaurant... well worth 5 star... but the BIG negative, hence the four stars, is the "optional 10% service charge", really annoys me, this is my choice, not yours! I always ask for it to be removed, then I decide if the service has been good!

The Boathouse Pub & Kitchen
Mill Ln, Appley Bridge, WiganAbsolutely loved my time here! The location right on the canal is just perfect, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The food was delicious, with a great selection of classic pub fare. I especially enjoyed The Boathouse Burger with extra Halloumi ?. The drinks were cold and refreshing, and the overall ambiance was cozy and inviting. Highly recommend this hidden gem! Also the manager Kyle is just wonderful!
