The Malt Shovel
66 Main St, Warton, CarnforthLunchtime visit, Hubby had the special of salt and pepper ribs, and he said it was one of the best meals he has ever had, extremely high praise! Dog friendly, which is always a big plus for us. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

The George Washington
Main St, Warton, CarnforthI've come here a few times on my way home from various hikes with a club, and they're always so lovely and accommodating for our group. We order in the region of 30 meals (which we note down ahead of arriving for them), as well as ordering drinks at the bar when we arrive, and it's one of the most efficient set-ups I've experienced as part of a group anywhere. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the place is clean and looked after, and the food and drink hit the spot!

Truck Haven
Scotland Rd, Warton, CarnforthWe didn't stay over here, we just stopped for a toilet break on our journey.
I would say the signage on site could be better, it took a bit of guess work figuring out where you were supposed to go, but the place was clean, functional, and had everything you needed.

Subway
Warton, PrestonBeen here a few times and foods always good. Staff could do with a little training on meal deals etc as don't seem as helpful as other subways. That said the staff are very friendly ðŸ‘

The Birley Arms Hotel
Bryning Ln, PrestonAs the new owners had posted in a local group, I thought I’d have a walk round with the dog to give it a go.
There’s a great selection of food and drinks, with various menu options. We started with the Moroccan hummus starter, which was absolutely fantastic, plenty to share between the two of us. I had the mixed grill at £19 which was really good value. Steak was cooked to perfection and the gammon and sausage were lovey. The skin on chips were a really nice addition and everything was really well seasoned. My good lady had a rump steak, which was a big old lump of meat with chips, onion rings and peas.
All in all, I thought a good value meal and will definitely be back
