The Alston Pub & Dining
The Alston, Inglewhite Rd, Longridge, PrestonLovely traditional country pub we happened to find where we could take the dog. We all had Sunday roast which was home cooked and excellent, great portion. Even the dog had a meal ? The pub was a bit tired and could do with a refurb, but otherwise very good.

Old Station Cafe
Old Station Buildings, Berry Ln, LongridgeWe were staying at the nearby Dog Inn who do not offer breakfast and we were recommended to go to the Old Station Cafe which was only 250m away. The recommendation was inspired. As a group of 4 mature adults we had the best breakfast experience ever. The menu is extensive and the welcome is very friendly. One guest had the full English Veggie option; two had American pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup and I thoroughly enjoyed the Greek Yoghurt with berries and granola followed by scrambled egg on luscious brown toast with bacon.and grilled tomato. Tea and coffee was also on offer. The service was prompt and very attentive and the ambiance was first class. A great Cafe that should not be missed for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. Well done to all the team. Regards, Alan F Bolton

65 Cafe
65 Berry Ln, Longridge, PrestonMany years ago a friend took me to 65 and it is amazing there. Became quite the spot for me due to the lovely atmosphere and quaint cosy interior. The toasted bacon and egg sandwich is the absolute best I have ever had and their scones are sublime. Always friendly and the service is impeccable. If you ever go to Longridge then do not miss this cafe. Just wish I was still there :)

Francos Restaurant
244 Preston Rd, Longridge, PrestonThe best pizza in longridge and still at affordable prices. Been coming here since I was a tolder and I would say francos is the Gold standard for small town family run Italian restaurants. It's cheap and cheerful and doesn't disappoint.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. I don't know if anything would be vegan though but if you eat cheese there is plenty to pick from.Parking: Tons of parking around the back but if there restaurant is busy it may be a squeeze.Kid-friendliness: Great for the whole family. They do kids parties very well.Wheelchair accessibility: It's only one level and has an access ramp so is good for wheelchair users.

The Dog Inn at Longridge
Market Pl, Longridge, PrestonNice friendly pub with food. Front of house is a normal pub with a couple of real ales. To the rear is a separate dining area. In summer the views over the Ribble valley must be superb but we were there in late Winter so could only see lights in the distance. The entrance to the car park is on a steep slope and the space between the buildings is a bit tight so take care manoeuvring up the slope when leaving. Staff are attentive and the food good. I had the cheese, onion and potato pie which is made on the premises. I don't normally say too much about food but this was particularly good. When it first comes you might think that the portion looks a little small. It isn't as it's very filling. The pastry is light and not too thick with the filling being a blend of several types of cheese cooked in chunks with sliced potatoes and onion. It was one of the nicest pies I've had for a long time. The others in our group were also pleased with their choices. The steak and ale pie looked really good with plenty of large pieces of steak. A good place to visit.
