Pendle Inn
Barley Ln, BurnleyGreat pub, welcoming vibes, beautiful setting, full of walkers, dogs, families & oldies. We had the cheese & onion pie w.chips & mushy peas & it was so tasty & such a great portion size! Around £15. Staff were really lovely too ?

The Cabin
The Picnic Site (Barley Car Park, Barley Rd, BarleyAlways good food at a reasonable price. Outside tables often have wet seats, not dog friendly inside which must loose them lots of trade as most who visit have a dog.

Barley Mow
Barley, BurnleyWe went for two nights, the pub itself is lovely, nice and cosy. The breakfast was good.
So we had two evening meals there. The first night meal was really nice, well cooked and presented well. Value for money. The second night meal wasn't as good, the starters and puddings were really nice but the mains weren't value for money. My partner had the beef loin with three small slices of beef on, some potatoes and not much else. And I had steak sandwich which was quite tough and only 5 small slices of steak in a ciabatta that was soft not crunchy. The pepper sauce was lovely though. Didn't think them particular mains were value for money.

The Sparrowhawk
152 Wheatley Ln Rd, Fence, BurnleyVisited this place for the first time in several years last night and was not disappointed! No booking had been made, but a table for two was soon provided and the waiter appeared with menus and to take drinks orders within a matter of seconds. Starters of Leek and Potato Soup, and Deep-Fried Squid were served in about 10 minutes and our mains of Lamb Chops followed. If I have one criticism, it would be that the cauliflower was a little undercooked and the cheese sauce wasn't all that cheesy. But apart from that we were both very happy with our meals and the service, and will definitely be returning in the near future!
