Freemasons At Wiswell
9df, 8 Vicarage Fold, Wiswell, ClitheroeWhat an amazing place!! In such a picture perfect village. We visited to celebrate my Husband's birthday & were not disappointed! We stayed in Mr Fox for 1 night. It is beautifully furnished, with a mezzanine level which proudly boars a roll top bath. The bathroom is stunning too & all spotlessly clean. The complimentary carrot cakes were a lovely touch. Before our 3 course Sunday lunch, we had a drink at the bar.I started with chicken liver parfait & it was delicious. For the main event I went for the pork belly & it literally melted in my mouth. Best roasties & gravy EVER!! The stuffed Yorkshire is totally another level!!We shared a cheese board to finish which was just right to end a perfect Sunday lunch. The service was perfect too.Breakfast at The Freemasons was something else!We had ordered our food the night before, not realising that we would be treated to a feast of army breakfast treats before our cooked breakfast! For me this was a true rival to Northcote!!We will be returning very soon!!Thank you to The Freemasons at Wiswell for making our experience a fabulous one!Vicki & Matt

Vista Cielo
Ethos House, 1-6 York St, ClitheroeWe were greeted by the wonderful Natalie who was an exceptional host. She looked after us as if we were royalty. I wish all restaurants had a Natalie. The food was really good as well. Wide selection of starters, mains and desserts. We has garlic bread with cheese and the mixed land and chicken skewers, with home made chips (potatoes were peeked by hand by Natalie). We can’t recommend the restaurant enough.

The HorseBox, Ribble valley
Station Rd, ClitheroeThe Horse Box is a little gem on Clitheroe market. The owner's are a wonderful couple who always go the extra mile and nothing is too much troubleExcellent coffee and food. It's also the ideal pit stop to have a natter (even if you don't know the other customers as we are a friendly bunch in Clitheroe) and take a breather.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options available.Kid-friendliness: Very child friendly and my 8 year old absolutely love's it.Get them a sausage butty and a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and they will be happy.Parking: There is a very large car park within a few yardsWheelchair accessibility: The Horse Box is situated on the market which is all flagged and there aren't any steps.

Rumbletums Limited
26 Well Terrace, ClitheroeTodays Christmas Sandwich was a Santa's Festive Favourite from Rumbletums in Clitheroe.I went for the 'Bin Lid, version which was massive but not the most expensive of the bunch so far. Like the others it was filled to bursting with Turkey, Stuffing, bacon, sausage and cranberry sauce and tasted great It was that big I couldn't actually finish it.It's worth noting that this sandwich is so popular that Rummbletums leave it on their menu all year round. So if you need a pick-me-up on a cold and wet February morning, this should definitely do the trick.Vegetarian options: Lots of fresh salad items availableParking: Right outside the entrance (if you're lucky)

Deli To Go
20 Whalley Rd, ClitheroeMy go-to place for a bacon butty and a cup of coffee. They also make their own sausage rolls and often have a variety to choose from, such as Chilli Jam or Caramelised Onion.Another must-try is one of their Scotch eggs. As well as the regular recipe, they usually have pork & Black Pudding flavour and a Moroccan scotch egg too.

Starbucks Coffee
Barrow Brook Cl, ClitheroeThere was young guy in today, he was very knowledgeable of all the Starbucks products. He used his initiative to offer us vegan cream based on our plant based milks 10/10 (nobody seems to get this) it's a real positive change as we've been here before and service has been poor. Cashier mistakes and order mess ups. Today was a real positive change. We'll be back. Keep this new colleague here. He was wearing a tie and walking with a limp. Can't stress enough the difference between what we've had before and this guy. Amazing improvement

The Higher Buck
The Square, Waddington, ClitheroeLast Friday night on the eve of my wee cousins wedding my mother, my cousins mum, her twin and best friend and I went here for a pre wedding day evening meal.Something close family and just the girls but something to calm the nerves of our Hannah. We had the most fabulous food, served by the kindest, happiest and lovely waiters and waitresses.I was aware we were loud at points in comparison to the surrounding tables and even I was slightly concerned yet no one let on or made a fuss. We ever had other tables when they left wishing Hannah a great day for her wedding the next day.The atmosphere in the establishment was relaxed, and in general a really nice vibe. Made so by the wonderful staff working.Thank you for the delicious food and for making our Hannahs final night as a Miss so memorable. ?

Shackletons Home & Garden
Clitheroe Rd, ChatburnThis is a great place for a day out…it’s way beyond being a garden centre with a few bits and bobs for the home. The home furnishings dept is huge and varied and there are some beautiful pieces, some high end but others to suit a lower budget; all displayed in tasteful room settings with accessories. It’s all quality merchandise. The sofa pictured here is Spink and Edgar aka Tetrad. They also do kitchens. The staff are superb and Steve helped us enormously. There is a bistro but we didn’t eat there. Car parking is easy and big.Their delivery service was nothing short of excellent…two of the nicest chaps and so obliging and friendly. We will be buying from them again without a doubt.

Mitton Rd, Whalley, ClitheroeParked before going on a hike as per recommendations...Absolutely beautiful place but more upmarket than was expecting. Staff were lovely, food was excellent and had we been dressed appropriately we would have really enjoyed it but the menu's were limiting for a 'light bite' before attempting the hike.We opted for 2 starters from the multiple menus we were offered (again, amazing food and selection) and with the complementary freshly baked rolls which arrived on ordering, and the mini Eccles cakes stilll warm from the oven at the end (also complementary) we were satiated. One coffee, one diet coke and water.I'd fully recommend for a leisurely, luxurious culinary experience and will return in the near future
