I went to Hapton for an enduro experience day and kind enough to let me stop over in my VW camper in their car park for 2 nights. The pub itself is lovely. Got very busy both nights but not surprising as the food is lush. I enjoyed one of the best roast lambs I've ever had. Staff are really friendly, and the Locals too. If you walk up the right side of the pub there are the most spectacular views! It's not far from Accrington, Burnley, and Rossendale valley, all lovely areas. Lots to do.

Sumbul Kebab House
154 St James's St, BurnleyI've been going here for 20 years off and on. Always late night, either after work or post drinking and clubbing.
My go to "dish" is the Chicken Tikka wrap sandwich. This is a full sized naan bread, folded like a tortilla wrap, around chunks of chicken breast meat that have been marinated and cooked in a spicy, dark red chicken tikka sauce. Available with or without salad, and with a range of sauces - including; tomato, mint, garlic, and chilli [be warned the chilli packs a punch!]. Served wrapped in a paper parcel.
The in house entertainment is provided by your fellow customers. Invariably at least one other in the queue will have been on the lash, and prepared to offer their own commentary on the world at large. No detriment to Sumbul's, the food is good and tasty, and the counter banter is a part of the ambience.
Recently I tried delivery, courtesy of Just Eat, and wasn't disappointed. Thank you Sumbul's, you have an assured - if these days irregular - customer for years to come so long as the children tikka wrap sandwich stays on the menu.
Parking: Very limited street parking outside, best to assume there will be none given that there is considerable competition from taxis and food delivery drivers. Possible parking on nearby Cow Lane or Bethesda Street.
Safe to say that the majority of Sumbul's customers will not be availing themselves of nearby parking for their own motorised conveyance since Sumbul's target demographic appear to be post-lash, night out survivors, grabbing a late night bite to eat, before heading home by taxi or drunken stumble.

I ordered a special large kebab with salad and garlic sauce. To my surprise it all came separately. So, the meat came in a tray with the nann wrapped in cellophane and the salad was encased in grease proof paper. The garlic sauce came in a tub. I thought this was appropriate and considerate because not everyone likes how a kebab may be presented. You know what I mean, your kebab is covered in too much sauce or too many onions. I thought it was a good idea because you can arrange your big fat kebab just the way you want it. I'll be back soon lads!

Lovely little Italian restaurant - very good service and friendly too. They have an extensive menu and what we had was extremely tasty with good sized portions. The tomato garlic bread we had to start with was so good it was to die for! Lots more on the menu I want to try.
The wine was excellent too and good quality. The coffee is sooooo tasty.

As age has taken it's toll on my hearing I find I cannot tell what people are saying in noisy places.
Tea time on a Friday is one such, even when I have my hearing aids set for voice in noise I can't easily cope.
Sad really.
Acoustic tiles on the ceiling would help fix it...and with no smoking would not need cleaning so much.
But it is still a great pup.

There was plenty for the kids to play on with other standalone toys dotted around.Excellent toilet facilities perfect for kids of all ages with both potty and childs size toilet available. I sat down at a table whilst my daughter played and had a coffee, the service was very good, coffee really nice and also fairly priced. Recommended.Parking: It's round the back and didn't realise there was one so parked nearby on the main road.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with large safety barrier as you enter the soft play area. There were also boys and girls toilets with potty and child size toilet which are ideal for reassuring your child.

154 Colne Rd, BurnleyPopped in for a fry up, decided to go for a desi breakfast. Best parathas I've had outside of India, the omelette was excellent. And the chicken curry and Dahl were incredible. I wish I lived closer because I'd come here all the time. Top notch food. The chai was excellent too

Higham Hall Rd, Higham, BurnleyOne of the best pubs in pendle. Always got good beers on. Amazing food. Great service. Went with a table of 12 yesterday and everyone loved every bite. We have been a number of times and it never disappoints. The chefs special pie by the way ... Mmmmmmm. Highly recommend

55 Lowerhouse Ln, Burnleyfirst time using chippy today, only because there is usually a fair sized queue but that tells you it's good food.. friendly place and they knew most customers by 1st name and both fellas made sure to acknowledge me as well, and both wished me a great weekend as I was leaving!
Good choice of food and happy to see they're still doing mini-mix trays for those of us that don't want a big meal, food was definitely the best I have had in a long time and curry sauce was seriously good! anyway this is my go to chippy from now on, also happy they do steak puddings with no kidney ?5*

Manchester Road, Burnleysoup of the day was lovely... however the mains , pie was like tinned meat all congealed looked like dog food. jacket potato without butter . don't usually like to complain but wasn't the best experience or food unfortunately and especially for the prices. would have better at a weatherspoons

45-47 Yorkshire St, BurnleyTwo of us visited the pub as away fans. We had no colours on and were told no chanting. Respecting this request, we were made more than welcome. A proper home football pub, we had a great time with the local fans. Decent beer and great bar staff. We purchased our food from a Street van outside,which we were allowed to bring into the pub. I would say from experience
,one or two away fans with no colours would be welcome but not a massive group.

Sycamore Farm - Dining & Carvery
Liverpool Rd, BurnleyCame for a bite to eat and it was great. I have to say the customer service was tremendous, our waitress (Aaminah) was absolutely brilliant - very polite & professional and went out of her way to ensure we had the best experience possible. We couldn’t have asked for better customer service from Aaminah. Would definitely recommend.

The menu is varied and without exception is always of an excellent standard; the staff are so friendly, helpful and super efficient. Our waiter today was Charlie and his professional approach from a young man was faultless - nothing is too much trouble for all the staff. Sincere compliments to the Chef for a perfect dining experience. Thank you all!!
Parking: Always v v busy so sometimes parking is a bit tricky because of Bistro popularity but always worth it!

2 Bank Parade, BurnleyGreat atmosphere, cracking drinks, sadly inside it is far too loud for me.
As age has taken it's toll on my hearing I find I cannot tell what people are saying in noisy places.
Tea time on a Friday is one such, even when I have my hearing aids set for voice in noise I can't easily cope.
Sad really.
Acoustic tiles on the ceiling would help fix it...and with no smoking would not need cleaning so much.
But it is still a great pup.

11 St James's Row, BurnleyBarman was lovely, nice little selection of beers, ciders and spirits, lovely interior both upstairs and downstairs, very clean. Only ich is that as me and 4 of my friends walked in as we were going for a meal next door and wanted a drink and some darts first, all of the old men in the pub just stopped talking and looked at us, which is just very odd and very "why are women in a workings club" vibes (even thought its just a bar in the town)

1-3 St James's St, BurnleyYou will NOT find a kebab as good as this for miles and miles. The quality is amazing and the breads man! Really really tasty. The guys that work there are polite and friendly. Prices are decent. To think it's next to McDonald's, you'd spend the same amount but get a far superior meal. I absolutely love this place and I tell everyone about it. I think they should give me a salva cap lol

Yui's Thai Kitchen
217 Padiham Rd, BurnleyFirst time ordering from Yui's Thai Kitchen, but we will be back! Everything was delicious, lovely Phad Thai, tasty Panang, the satay sauce with the chicken starter was spot on as we're the rest (Thai crackers, veg spring rolls, fried rice, Thai pineapple curry). It's quiet a drive for us, but better than all the closer Thai places by a country mile!
