The Royal (Bolton-le-Sands)
27 Main Rd, Bolton-le-Sands, CarnforthAll the staff were friendly and helpful, and all the items ordered to eat by our party of 7 were excellent quality. The menu is varied and interesting, and apparently changes each month. We have eaten before at the Royal, but usually small numbers, I would definitely recommend it for couples or family groups, it was all lovely thankyou!

Unity Brook Inn
Unity Brook Inn, 452-454 Manchester Rd, Kearsley, BoltonDelicious Thai food served quickly and professionally. Bar a little lacking in choice. Small play area for kids and outside seating area with plenty of space, although is next to a main road.

The Crossing Micropub
6 Coastal Rd, Hest Bank, LancasterIf Carlsberg did pubs...
Except they'd never sell that dishwater here!
Great selection of ales and the sort of clientele you instantly warm to. A welcoming second to none.
Well worth a visit.

Ricky's
26 Slyne Rd, Bolton-le-Sands, Carnforthwhat a lovely restaurant/takeaway! Had a takeaway. Ordered a mixed vegetable curry (as I’m vegetarian), special fried rice with pineapple and curry sauce for my partner. We waited in a lovely area with a big fish tank. Very clean and the atmosphere was lovely. Short wait for food and was much cheaper than expected (£18.80 in total). Food was absolutely lovely!!! Definitely a must go

Trung's Restaurant
4 Main Rd, Bolton-le-Sands, CarnforthOn holiday and looking for a good Chinese takeaway and oh my, we have found an excellent Chinese takeaway.
BBQ spare ribs so tender and the sauce just perfect, not too thick and tasted amazing,, Salt and Pepper Ribs again tender with a crisp S & P coating, plenty of onion, chilli etc.. and so so tasty.
Special Trungs curry asked for extra spicy, all the meat cooked so well, the beef and pork fell apart, tender chicken and meaty king prawns, the veg had a crunchy but not too crunchy and the curry sauce just amazing, had a kick but could still taste the food and the spices,,Special Satay, the meat and prawns just the same as the curry and husband said it was one of the best he has had, well there was nothing left so guess that says it all.
We both had egg fried rice and again cooked beautifully,,
Oh and the prawn crackers, crisp, not oily, good crunch and very tasty.
When we are back in the area this will be our go to restaurant/takeaway

Hest Bank
2 Hest Bank Ln, Hest Bank, LancasterWell worth seeking out this place if you are ever in Morecambe, a proper old style boozer which has survived the trend of modernisation which most pubs have fallen under. Shirl, the deputy Manager, was welcoming and very friendly and looked after us the whole time we were there for lunch. The menu was extensive and although we both had the same we can see the standard of food was excellent. The steak and ale pie was to die for, proper handmade pie stuffed with meat and the best gravy i have tasted for years. I look forward to my next visit!

Golden Crown
Kearsley Mt Precinct, Manchester Rd, Kearsley, BoltonI had the number 3 on the lunch menu offer, added chips and grabbed a large sausage to eat while I waited.
Firstly the sausage was freshly cooked and piping hot, I have to say it was probably the best sausage I have ever had from any chippy ever...(maybe because it had just been cooked).
The lunch meal is great value for money, myself and my wife split it and it's more than enough for us (especially as we added an extra portion of chips).
The staff are always friendly too, can't really fault them, or the value for money.

Far Pavilion
25 Bye Pass Rd, Bolton-le-Sands, CarnforthIt was a daily drill for most till they discovered this resthouse. That ten mile walk...that memorable walk once over.....this IS what the heart aims for. ..I hang up my painting there, snap in the center of the dining hall.....as if I own this palace. My oil painting spells one of the names of Allah that I paint with mind and soul combined without using the brush.Hands only..All sorts of generals with their family members, young officers, artists, doctors, engineers, hunters, teachers, architects, students come here to chill out. If we dont get a reservation or we do get a reservation the last thing you want, is to snuggle in those crisp sheets at night. You would never see me inside that building ever at night but out in the field enjoying the celebration of being a part of the creation of Allah. There is camping, basketball, table tennis, boxing, karate, badminton, chess, golf and even hunting on the cards. You name it, they will get it for you.Even invent it, if need be! Thats called hospitality. U can do something creative and chase butterflies without throwing yourself off a cliff.I mean its fun! The real beauty is the lime green grass, the swimming competition in the clouds and the wise cracks on mineral water vs spring water by their handsome waiting staff. There is zero tolerance for drama and makeup that I learnt fast. You learn the Art of loving yourself with all your shortcomings and failures and embrace life whole heartedly.Going back to a souless city shrieks havoc as you begin to spiral down and out.I usually love to meditate under trees and listen to the unsual chirping of mysterious birds while deciding which peak to conquer first. Also watch students from Punjab and Balochistan come in like waves and get a whiff of fresh air here. The food is Kashmiri so you wont be bored. The flute and Pahari Henco and Kashmiri songs have their own lingo and a qired taste.Cigar smoke fills the air as generals sit with their families telling stories of inflicting heavy losses to India and how weak and afraid the Indian Army really is. There is enormous respect for the brave jawans living lonely lives on the LOC while offering their lives on behalf of Pakistani citizens.Tea is served with a smile and reminder that we must head home soon. Those who are fashion convicts are forever complaining till the dawn of simplicity sets in on their souls. The service here is like a mother tending to her babies, with warmth and hospitality. The air is pure and relaxing.Students are seen sketching maps, playing board games and reading books under the Greenwood trees.I dont see anyone whining or complaining there.I am looking forward to going there again because home is where the heart is. I rest my case in expressing my love for this Far Far Pavillion.Where words end, this journey begins...
