90 Frindsbury Rd, RochesterBeen to the New Shad for quite a few meals with my family and Wow great Staff and excellent food but while there l discovered a meal that was 100% to my taste which was the lamb Rogan Josh with mushroom fried rice, l couldn’t recommend this dish enough, always consistent and looks as good as it tastes. So last night after a visit to my Mum while in the area ( come up from Sittingbourne ) I ordered a takeaway of the above meal and warmed up when l got back home and it tasted as good as eating in. Many thanks to all at the New Shad especially the Chef your now my favourite Indian restaurant of all time and will not go anywhere else now

Only ever had excellent food both shops and have been using them for years. Would recommend to anyone particularly those who miss traditional fish 'n' chips cooked to perfection. 4 High St, RochesterMamma Mia is surprisingly excellent. Don't let their rather average exterior decor fool you. The service in here is great and the food is super. We arrived as a party of 10, but having to pre-select everyone's meals rang alarm bells. No need to worry - every dish received compliments from the group, whether that was the salmon linguini, the mushroom starter (which looked hearty and delicious by the way), the lasagne, pizzas or whatever else. Most tucked into 3 courses, although a couple of us didn't have room for desert. We had a liqueur and double espresso instead. All that with drinks came to £40 per head. An excellent evening with friends. Thanks, Mamma Mia.

40 High St, Rochesterhonestly, the medway restaurant is so disappointing, forgot half of our order for delivery, wouldn't send it out, offered a partial refund and a voucher for next time (won't be ordering again for sure) would have been forgivable if the the food was half as nice as the pictures on here. my chicken burger was big but gristly and just disappointing quantity does not constitute quality.... the fries were cold and unappealing. the Korean bbq chicken, was indeed crispy, but the miserly splash of sauce was just insufficient. the haloumi was the only edible part of the whole order, which was at best a 6/10 absolutely gutted and will never give my custom again.

Great food amazing service by the lovely Jamie who went above and beyond I mentioned my sons birthday when we was ordering drinks at end of our meal without asking he surprised my son with a dessert and the staff sang happy birthday a lovely touch to end a fabulous meal. The staff were incredibly accommodating at arranging the restaurant to seat such a large group. Service was quick, all food came out exactly as ordered, great quality and was delicious.
I had to step out to try and get my baby to sleep in the pram as the food was being served, and the staff even came out to offer to help me so I could eat my meal hot. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable.
The bring your own alcohol was a bonus.
Will definitely be eating here again.

We enjoyed our evening meal . Food was good only thing I thought the sorce on the prawn cocktail could have been thicker apart from that very enjoyable. I was directly sat in front of the air con it was a bit cold but I'm sure if asked they would have turned it down. Very friendly staff.
Kid-friendliness: Kept talking to our daughter who was tired and not wanting to eat so fidgeting and being bord. Waiter kept engaging with her . Also have a kids menu . We didn't order from it but nice to know it's there.

We arrived at it took ages for the wings to come out. With in 45 mins of our booking we had 4 wings…. We overheard another table complaining about the service. After that it did pick up slightly. There no point further complaining to there servers as its not their fault.
The girls serving were lovely and are certainly kept on their toes.

The chips were the best I have had in years, I mean truly the BEST. None of this double or triple cooked stuff. Just plain old single cooked chips. I need this place in Hastings so I can enjoy good old fish and chips more often!

I ordered my partner some meat options and some veggie options for myself and the kitchen team even bothered to ask if I wanted them in separate bags in case any of the meat sauces leaked in transit.Takeaway only so the atmosphere doesn't mean the most and the staff make it lovely but it could do with a refresh of decor.Vegetarian options: Mixed vegetable chow mein is delish.Parking: Only a few spaces outside so need to park on road but can be busy.

High St, RochesterAbsolutely loved our visit to Ramo's. The service is quick and efficient, the food very tasty and well priced, and the atmosphere exactly as I wanted for a Sunday morning.
We both had omelettes which were delicious, they were happy to take slight off-menu alterations, and the food was served with a little Turkish twist with some delicious accompanying relish. We even got a mini complimentary fruit platter for dessert.
My partner is vegetarian and it was easy for her to find suitable options on the menu that were tasty (and not just mushrooms!)

The Cheese Room Botanicals
60 High St, The Precinct, RochesterBeing a cheese lover myself I was excited to visit this place. The Cheese Room, located near Rochester Castle, is a charming restaurant specializing in all things cheese. The venue is in an old building with both indoor and outdoor seating, which adds to its character. We opted to sit outside, but the tables are a bit small, especially since the plates are quite large.
The menu offers a great variety of cheeses, and we enjoyed the British Cheese Board and I tried the pesto sourdough sandwich. The food was good, but the service could have been more organized. It took a while to receive the menu, and when it came time to pay, we ended up going to the bar as we were in a hurry.
The ladies' toilet, while clean, is quite small and a bit tricky to find. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a lovely time and would recommend it for cheese lovers!

If you want a great village pub then look no further than here, family friendly, pool table and dart board, TV for sports, plenty of car parking spaces in the car park. Would strongly recommend their Sunday roast very nice & lots of it , all in all a great family pub which is full of local people who are welcoming to all .

High St, RochesterThe manager bends over backwards to run this place. Friendly atmosphere with great selection of drinks including hot ones and at a decent price. Pool table and jukebox. Alongside Jasper the pub dog whose absolutely lovely.
