The Square Fish Café
The Square, Lenham, MaidstoneI was told, it is, the best chippy in Kent, my first experience was brilliant, I would then, have given it 5* but unfortunately there has been the odd occasion when it wasn't so good, no bodies perfect, but fish and chips is very expensive now, a large cod, chips, tomato sauce, and a take away cuppa, £15, I expect it to be spot on, the staff serving have always been polite, the chaps cooking it up could do with smiling a bit, make it look like you are happy to see customers.Parking: The car park is rather small, it is a great place to visit, pub, hotel, bakery, cafe, depends on the time of day really.Kid-friendliness: I saw a few young kids having a good time, no worries.

Cornerhouse Café
The Square, Lenham, MaidstoneLovely little cafe (pretty much the only one in the village), in a gorgeous historic building. You can sit inside and outside (with dogs allowed only outside). Apple pie was gorgeous!
