7 Canterbury Rd, Hawkinge, FolkestoneDidn't stay for food as we were too early. Restaurant reopens for evening at 6. Open at lunch time too. It all looks amazing. Restaurant all looking very good. . Atmosphere very good. Service excellent. . Hoping to return very soon for a family meal.No problem parking at back. Highly recommended. New owner very welcoming like Cullins Yard in Dover. Well done Richard and staff.

Mayfly
Defiant Cl, Hawkinge, FolkestoneMy Goodness!! What an improvement. This new manager has certainly made strides in the right direction.We went for Sunday carvery. We were greeted at the door, shown to our table, served by pleasant staff....all in Mayfly t- shirts which looked good. Staff looked happy and were helpful. The carvery had a good selection of roasts, the vegetables were hot not overcooked, plates were hot and even the gravy was tasty.
The desserts were yummy and all in all good value for money.
For those who in the last year or so have given the Mayfly a wide berth, perhaps you might like to give it a ( second) try....its much improved and getting better.
