Well what can I say .. it's Probably the best experience my body had in year ,ive always been a meat eater ,but just recently I went to a work shop there and sampled the food, not knowing what to expect, I didn't realise food could taste so good without meat ! It was bloody delicious ..I feel really converted..not only that I had the best night sleep ever that night ,not sure if it's Connected but I felt it was ...amazing place can't wait to go back and sample something else. We used to love the last Marley resturant as so quaint,but understand its good that its expanded. Food was lovely-as always! Vegan choices too. Staff were all so friendly (as always!) Food fresh! Good theres a large waiting area with seating where you can enjoy a drink while waiting for your table.

This is the place to be, Alfie will take care of you and make you feel at home. The food is great, the people are great and the atmosphere is all around fantastic. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

El Cortador Tapas Bar

What a wonderful place. The food was a real taste of Spain. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Our food arrived altogether. Very good selection and prices to choose from. A must if you want an authentic taste of proper tapas. Will definitely travel again to go here.

Fireaway Pizza Folkestone

Great service and even better pizza. There's something a little different from your average pizza joint that makes Fireaway special.Whether it's the flour mix of the dough that produces a distinctive flavour or the range of ingredients and toppings on offer that makes them stand out, I'm not sure. But stand out they do.They also offer great sides as well, the wings are particularly good.On top of all that the prices are also really reasonable, they even have special discounts during the day. What are you waiting for?

Aspendos Folkestone

I went to this place last night and I can honest say it's one of the nicest restaurants I've been too in years! You really feel like you're on holiday.With the music, great staff and furnishings. And what can I say about the food. It was incredible! I couldn't recommend this place enough.Thank you for a great night with amazing food.

Annapurna Nepalese Restaurant

Had a business meeting here either a group of 9 local businesses, different to your usual curry house, fantastic service, wonderful fresh dishes and we will be back in the near future. Very reasonably priced too. We have to say loved the translation of “least recommended” in fact it made us order and was delicious.Apologies our photos are not to the usual standard.

Rocksalt

We had lunch there. The food was fine but not spectacular. And the service was good except we often felt ignored because the staff were overstretched. And, if I'm being picky, it was too expensive.

VIET STREET

We absolutely loved and relished the food. Great service with friendly staff. Due to heavy traffic, took us more than an hour to get there, nothing will put us off I suppose. We are sure to visit again in the near future.

Lighthouse Champagne Bar

Pukka little bar at the end of the dock. Yeah it's a bit rough inside but it's a lighthouse.. It's quirky and cosy and friendly staff, nice to sit outside listening to the music playing with a prosecco in hand. Didn't eat so not sure about the food..

The Mariner

What a great find! Called in just for a drink and made a general enquiry about eating options. We were shown the main menu plus a 'special deal menu' which was for two. Well I have to say we had two times the special menu as there was four of us. The food was superb. We will certainly be going back and our family members that came with us that live locally will be going back too.

Conchitas

Just had the most fantastic evening in Bandidos. Food was excellent, service 10/10 could not fault the place. Can't wait to go again. Had a bit of a laugh with the waitress, short changed her by £6 we all had a good laugh when she came back and pointed it out. Great atmosphere owner was lovely. Best night I've had in ages. Thanks to all at Bandidos.

Good food and great atmosphere. Manager was brilliant and the young lady serving behind bar last night (29/03/24) was great and really friendly. Can’t recommend the place enough.

Good Friday 2024 had a large order. Phoned it in. Little waiting. Piping hot. Good crispy batter. Plenty food per portion. Not greasy. By far best chippy in South East and I've been to so many. Cost is cheaper than other venues and portions are generous. Dependable for good food .

First visit and the food was great. Very tasty. Next time I'm in folkestone I'll definitely eat there again. Staff very friendly and polite and chatty. Outstanding visit.

Pizza Prima Take Away

The Valiant Sailor

The food was amazing and great value for money. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. We visited for lunch dinner and sunday roast and were made to feel really welcome with our 2 dogs. Would definitely recommend this place for a great motorhome stopover. The landlady couldn’t do enough for us and was a good laugh even with our growler of a dog !!!!

Lemon Leaf Restaurant & Bar

After calling menu places on a Saturday night we found space at this restaurant. Very dated in terms of furniture and decor and we had to ask for the music to be put on as there was absolutely no atmosphere with only about three tables of diners.Customer service was good. Our order was taken promptly and drinks brought out quickly. Though they did forget the tap water which we had to ask for again.The food was really good. We got a selection of starters, mains and naans and everything came out hot and fresh. The food was nice and spicy with a fair few dishes having chopped chillis that you could see and remove or like me eat as a salad - they were very hot! The flavours in the curries and the chilli paneer were complex and pleasant. Only thing we found an issue with was that the noodles were a little too al dente. All in all a pleasant meal and absolutely amazing value for money. If in Folkestone again then I would definitely go there again.It says free parking at rear on the window but we could not find this. We just parked in the side street.

Richard is the owner and a Top bloke, really friendly and had a great rapport with all the locals.Very popular pub with a diverse mix of young and older people all having fun.Seemed like a nice place to meet up with friends... I got chatting with some of the locals and they are a really friendly bunch of people... A nice community of residents making the most of their local boozer which was nice to see.Kitchen was small but lovely and clean.???

This Chinese takeaway is always busy. They also deliver too. Great food, good price's always friendly staff. Don't have to wait long if you are collecting your choice of food.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Folkestone

Went for lunch with my husband as it was his birthday today, the food was amazing cooked to perfection, the service was brilliant from start to finish. Lovely decor and lovely atmosphere in the restaurant.

The Prince of India

Been trying to find a decent Indian take away in the Hythe area,without success. Ventured further afield. This place was an eyesore from the outside, but down the stairs and into the restaurant things got a lot better. Against expectations, we found the food to be very good and well worth the trek out of our intimidate area Having had a good takeaway, we'll be back for a sit down dinner next time.

Earls Restaurant

Beautiful restaurant. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We ordered the seasonal pre-Christmas lunch which was amazing, large portions, hot, tasty and well presented. This restaurant was also dog friendly as is the whole of the hotel, we will definitely stay here in the future.

Starbucks Coffee

Normally super, but also normally not busy at all. Delays and heatwave means it is over crowded, long queues, and only 1 of the 4 employees working the coffee machine. Difficult day for them, but possible for them to handle it more efficiently. Staff still friendly dispute issues

McDonald's

This McDonalds has a drive through service as well as seats inside. It also allows ordering through the app and has screens inside to order from. Essentially, this location is the same as any other McDonalds in England. This is a good place to stop off at if you're come from the Eurotunnel, especially given the other stores in the area.

Django's Cafe Bar

Stopped by for a quick coffee break and had an excellent visit. The coffee was nice and I recommend it, nice coffee, a nice atmosphere, and nice staff. Great location in Folkestone.

Papa's Fish Restaurant and Takeaway

An impromptu visit to the beach ended with my dog dragging me to the chip shop. I just ordered the mini cod and chips as it was lunchtime and it was lovely. The fish was fresh from the fryer and it was perfect portion. Yes, my dog got a few chips too!

The Little Fish Shop

Booked a table for 10 on Xmas Eve and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Chips were cooked perfectly and fish was excellent. Well priced beer menu and friendly staff.

Papa Johns Pizza

Good pizza, I think driver couldn't find address as it wasn't a hot as usual. I also forgot to ask for proper thin crust. My bad.Side was enjoyable and just needed more sauceRECOMENDED

Super Pizza

Ordered a pizza meal & hot & spicy chicken.. they delivered that plus extra food!Chicken was cooked well & was nice & spicy.Everything was cooked well & tasted nice. Will be returning again!

The Royal Oak

Friendly pub at the top of the cliff. Very handy for the Folkestone-Dover walk. Decent pub grub prepared onsite at silly prices. Main + pud + 2x pints = £12! Thought they'd made a mistake but no the mains are £4. Excellent value.

Tip's Wok Box

Great Thai street food. Would eat it everyday if the missus allowed. Very quick service. It is cooked in front of you so you can see exactly what you're getting.

Black Bull

The food at this pub has been consistently excellent over at least the last few months. Good portions, hot, well presented. We have been having our dinner at lunchtime on occasions and I really recommend a visit.

Kipps' Alehouse

Great ales, ciders and lager from near and far but selected carefully by Andrew and his crew. Always something new to try and often old favourites return. Perfect grazing food to accompany the brews. Live music and TV sport big matches screened (check first). Great value. Central location.

The Boat House

Does the best bacon and brie rolls ever sitting on the beachfront in the sunshine - always so hospitable and friendly - popular with dog owners too - what more could you ask. Also does other amazing food and drinks.

That Burger

Best burger I’ve had in a long time! Quick service and delicious food. Lovely views and sunshine sitting outside on the harbour arm. Had the Nat love burger with onion rings, crispy onions and bbq sauce with Cajun fries :)

Himalayan Cafe & Takeaway

What a lovely surprise. Stopped over in Cheriton, as many do, on the way to France and wondered into town to find something to eat with the family to find this gem. Took me straight back to Kathmandu, Pokra and also the delicious fresh Thalis in India. My favourite was the Thukpa (noodle soup) which had the most incredible flavour, but all the food was incredible.

Master Brewer

What a lovely friendly local pub, who make you very welcome. Unfortunately, no food after 3 on sunday, but we could still enjoy a drink as they do motorhome stop overs. Nicely situated for ports.

The Hillside Cafe

A hidden gem, it is very easy to miss as it is down a side alley but it is definitely worth a visit.The atmosphere is good, it has quite a nice homely vibe as it feels comfortable and familiar even if you haven't been there before.The food is cheap, cheerful and good for filling an empty stomach. £1 for a cup of tea.Ken is a delightful gentleman to be around. I accidentally knocked over my coffee and he brought me a new one with an interesting anecdote about it not being too bad in the grand scheme of things so I shouldn't worry about it.I will likely come again on my next visit to Folkestone.

Pulp 27 Coffee Shop & Cafe

Not normally a burger eater these are not to be missed. Absolutely fabulous and accompanied by a generous and healthy salad. The coffee is also excellent. Great after all that hard work in the nearby health club. Good value.

Little Switzerland

Visited today in beautiful sunshine! Sat outside enjoying the warmth and the staggering view! Great coffee, fairly basic menu, but good. Owner and staff very friendly. Plenty of space inside if the weather is worse than today!Google Maps listing for the cafe has the wrong postcode! Should be CT19 6PS (Swiss Way, off Wear Bay Road, Folkestone ) not CT20 1AE.Parking: Cafe is reached via a single track road, and offers limited parking, but is free.

Food For Thought - Thai Restaurant

What a fantastic little restaurant....why? First and foremost, the food is superb. Authentic ingredients and flavours at very reasonable prices, not to mention the portion sizes are enormous!Secondly the owners are so friendly, you really feel welcome and that they are genuinely interested in your opinions of the dishes.They open lunchtimes for Thai and English food options and evenings at the end of the week for Thai only.I can't recommend them highly enough, I left feeling so satisfied and with a smile on my face.

Tesco Cafe

Kid-friendliness: Great atmosphere when you arrive. All the way to your order, the staff make you feel welcome.Parking: Good parking options for families, disabled and everyone else.Dietary restrictions: I can't drink cows milk, so I am happy with the oat milk.

The Beano Cafe

Popped into this cafe today for a fry up.The food was good albeit a bit pricey for me. Glad it was open on a Sunday. The service was nice and the atmosphere was good.

Harbour Coffee Co

Their coffee is excellent and they have a wide selection of really good cakes. In good weather it's great to sit on the roof and take in the view. However, this week we sat inside. They admit dogs, and the couple sitting next to us had two, which they allowed to sit on the seats, and put their wet muddy paws on the table. As the staff don't clean tables between customers, there is a real hygiene issue here.
